Mina the GM was testy, arrogant, snotty, and unprofessional. Kambiz, and Massy Hameda were not. After being picked up by Massy at the Metro to purchase what I thought would be a new C70, o unprofessional. Kambiz, and Massy Hameda were not. After being picked up by Massy at the Metro to purchase what I thought would be a new C70, once I got to the dealer I discovered that my prospective C70 was a "demo" and had 7300 or so miles on it. Fine. Then I checked the vehicle out. The wheels were all damaged. They said they'd fix them. I said they needed to be replaced. They didn't agree. I chose another vehicle. They gave me a very good price, so I bought it and drove it home happy. Next morning they called and said they forgot to charge me $825 in delivery/shipping/destination charges. Was asked to bring the car back. Ruined the whole gorgeous sunny day. Bill of Sale said I was charged everything on the sticker (including the delivery/shipping/destination charge) already). I relented, then refused, Deal was done. High Drama with dealer staff and Ms. Tammy Darvish (although she was by far the most professional). What started out as a fine transaction became a nightmare. Will never go back now, not even for service. More
I purchased a used XC90 from Darcars in early March and I am from out of town, so part of the agreement was that they would ship the car to me within two days (scheduled to arrive on Tuesday 3/24). I took off work that afternoon to be home and sign for the car, and no one showed up. Not only that, I didn't receive any kind of phone call that the transport company was going to be late or anything. I attempted to call the transport company, but there was no answer and no answering machine. Wednesday morning I called them again and one of the owners told me that they had truck trouble and would be in town late Wednesday and could get the car to me on Friday. So, I waited at home on Friday AGAIN for my car...and nothing. Saturday, I called Darcars to see if my vehicle had even been picked up yet and they said that the transport company had picked it up on Friday (4 days late!). Considering that they told me it would be picked up on Monday and it wasn't until Friday; I felt this was VERY inconsiderate on their part and disrespectful of my time that they couldn't even give me a call and let me know it was going to be late (since I had taken off two afternoons from work to be at my house to sign for my car)! Needless to say, it's Saturday and I still don't have my car and have not heard from the transport company, Lanet Enterprises, on an ETA. I definitely would not recommend this dealership to anyone out of town or in town for that matter, their lack of consideration for their customers time if unacceptable to me. More

I have leased four Volvos since January of 2007. The first was a 2007 XC70 from Herb Gordon Volvo. I had initially ordered a 2007 S80 3.2 through them. My circumstances had changed so I needed to get a XC70 instead. The people that I worked with over there were pushy, argumentative, and went back on their word on delivering accessories that were supposed to come on my XC70. After having a brake module problem; I went to Herb Gordon to get it fixed and they said THREE weeks before I could get a loaner. I said forget it and got it fixed at Don Beyer Falls Church. Fast forward a few months later; I am in the market for a XC90 and DARCARS has the one that I want. I walk in, tell them what I want, the salesman, Jason Long, and sales manager, Joey Brashears were superb. I got a $49k SUV for a $400/month lease with very little money down. I was very happy with the purchasing experience and the deal that I got. After I got bored with the XC70; I stopped by DARCARS and asked about S80's. They had a fully loaded new 2007 S80 V8 that I fell in love with. My purchasing experience was just like it was with my XC90 3.2. Fast, easy, and hassle free. They also threw in a few free accessories. I purchased a 2008 XC90 V8 at a Philadelphia area dealer in February of 2008 while Alexander Arman and Joey Brashears had departed for a brief leave of absence. Now that Joey Brashears is back; I am looking forward to leasing my next Volvo from him. The people there, from the receptionist to the currrent General Manager are friendly and I make the effort to stop by and say "hi" every now and then. More
Stay away from DARCARS and Joey Brashears. We left a deposit on a vehicle that was at the Baltimore port. Told it would be in in 4-5 days. After five days we are told it will be another 2-3 days. After 3 days we are told it will be another 3-4 days. We are offered to be refunded our deposit which we accept. After 6 days and providing all requested documantation to quickly return the funds, Joey Brashears says he will not return the deposit. Here it is 16 days later and the car is still at the port, and Joey does not want to release the funds on a car he promised but cannot deliver. Stay away from DARCARS and Joey Brashears. More
Joey made my experience of leasing a volvo absolutely terrific! He is kind, funny, friendly, smart and not "pushy" at all. He was incredibly patient with me and I thoroughly enjoyed working with him. Looking for a second car, one better on gas mileage than our Hummer, we decided to look at Audis, Volvo's, BMW's and Mercedes. We finally found a nice used BMW 5 series with low mileage and a good price at our Hummer, we decided to look at Audis, Volvo's, BMW's and Mercedes. We finally found a nice used BMW 5 series with low mileage and a good price at Darcars Volvo. Initially, the sales staff was extremely friendly as you would expect when trying to get someone to spend their money with you. The sales associate even gave us his cell phone number to call since he was going to be off the following day, and if we decided to buy this particular car he would come in on his day off. Later that night I called him and asked him if the car could be detailed and ready the next day and he assured me it would. I also noticed there was no owners manual while we were on our test drive, and he assured me that he would get it. Signing the paperwork the next day for it, we are told there is only one key and no owners manual, which they would order for us. Getting in the car to inspect it, none of the marks I had told him about were taken care of (it was washed, not cleaned) so his response was to bring it back at a later date. 3 weeks later, no owners manual. I called the sales associate (Sam Amin), he acts like he has no idea who we are or that they even had a used BMW, but says he will talk to the parts department about the manual and call me right back. 3 days later and still no call. I called the Manager, and he tells me "when you buy a used car, you get it as is, that's it", even tho before signing I was told they would get us one. DO NOT GO HERE!!! They give empty promises and don't care about you, only your money. More
I walked into Darcars volvo intending to test drive an s40 I was planning on buying from a family friend. I was greeted with warm smiles and an atypical sales staff. No one was pressuring me nor was I being asked a thousand questions. By the end of my first experience, I was an ecstatic new car owner with a deal my family friend was unable to match. A year later, I have visited Darcars Volvo over a dozen times; mostly to say, "Hello" to everyone I have met. In the last 14 months my family has bought 4 cars from Darcars. The staff at Darcars care about their clientele as if they are old friends. I have never known a car dealership to feel like a family, but Darcars is exceptional. The service standard is so high, I cannot think of a single complaint (unimaginable for most dealerships). My entire family has since worked with Alexander Arman to help with their car purchases. Every person I have referred to Mr. Arman has called with glowing reviews and to thank me for the introduction. If you are in the market for a Volvo, it would seem foolish to me to look anyplace other than Darcars. More
