We were customers for life until trying to trade our '03 S60 in for a '12 S60. We were offered less than half of what CarMax was offering, and given non-sense that the reason for the poor offer was due to S60 in for a '12 S60. We were offered less than half of what CarMax was offering, and given non-sense that the reason for the poor offer was due to inaccurate information contained in the CarFax report. Even after the CarFax report was corrected, the they told us the offer was still half was CarMax was offering. We corrected the CarFax report immediately, but were so disgusted with the so-called "wanting customers to love every aspect of their interaction" with DARCARS that we never went back, and bought a Mercedes instead from a dealer who matched the CarMax price. Last Saturday evening, I could not start my car at a parking lot in Gaithersburg, MD. I tried countless times. It was dark and cold, my seventy-seven year old mother with high blood pressure was in the parking lot in Gaithersburg, MD. I tried countless times. It was dark and cold, my seventy-seven year old mother with high blood pressure was in the car and my car’s menu was at home. I was helpless and very frustrated. I had no idea whom to call for help. I called Darcars Volvo, Rockville that was the only one I had a number with me at that moment. Mr. Joe Guzman on the other side learned my situation and offered to come over personally to help me out. He came over and started my car for me. No charge no tip, only the kindness and knowledgeable help with a cheerful smile. Lucky me that day for having Joe picked up the phone at that moment. I am so glad that I am a Volvo owner and I believe that Volvo made a wise investment for having such a wonderful employee Joe Guzman. Thank you again, Mr. Guzman! Happy holidays!! More

No detail is forgotten. Sales department very good. Also gives detailed, full explanations of each part of the purchasing documents and goes above and beyond to meet the customer needs. More
I bought my XC90 at the Darcars dealership in Rockville and have been going there for service for the last 8 years. Taking my car there has always been a good experience for me, but today it was exception and have been going there for service for the last 8 years. Taking my car there has always been a good experience for me, but today it was exceptional. A new service representative, Mo, helped me out so much. He took the time to show me things about my car that I never knew before. He was not only very helpful, but also very patient and personable. He's relatively new to the dealership and the best addition to their service team. If you go there for service, definitely ask for Mo!!!! More

I enjoyed the experience interacting with the sales department when I purchased the car two years ago, and the positive experience has continued each time I bring the car in for oil changes and other service. It is ALWAYS a positive experience. The service department staff are friendly and helpful on every occasion. On one instance, they applied a coupon to my bill that I had not seen on their website. How often does that happen? To top it off, my car is always washed and vacuumed when I pick it up. In contrast, I cannot think of a single positive experience I have had getting my BMW serviced. You cannot go wrong with this Darcars dealership. More

I was quoted on a trip computer by a technician for ~$200. Roughly 150 for the software and 50 for hardware since it is just "plug in to install." I waited a couple days and came back when my vehicle was due for COMPLIMENTARY SERVICE and asked for it to be installed and was charged nearly $400 by the service manager! He said the tech mustve gotten it wrong because it required a lot more work than what! BULL! I researched it and it was just a simple software install which literally is plugin the vehicle to a computer! Of course the guy also charges me TWO HOURS of labor when I was only sitting there for an hour and fifteen minutes which includes the service. So he basically charged me the for COMPLIMENTARY service I shouldve gotten when I buy the car! Another time was when my car was acting a bit weird at the brakes (noise and not as responsive). I took it in and the service guy said the brake discs needs replacement. Its still under warranty I said so I shouldnt have to pay for it. Nope, he said it doesnt cover wear and tear! I called him out spoke with the manager and he was giving me a hard time with it as well. Eventually they caved and they did it for free under warranty. I swore that was the last time I would ever go back! Nope. At 30k, my last complimentary service was done at DARCARS. Recently when i did my 37.5k oil change somewhere else I found out my skid plate is missing! They didnt put the plate back on! It was clear that they didnt put it back on because the screw holes werent torn and cant be seen as worn. ALL the screws were missing too! I went back to DARCARS demand them to fess up to it. Instead they said, "Oh i happen to have an extra one and ill give it to you, but it is clear the plate fell off or you ran over something." How is it that all the screws (FIVE IN TOTAL!) fell off at once that it gave way cleanly without damaging any screw holes? Of course he replied, "oh it happens all the time!" Ill drive to Silver Spring or VA from now on. Volvo DARCARS service department is HORRIBLE now. Before in the past, ~8 years ago, it was a pretty trustworthy service department but ever since they changed manager its been DOWN HILL! More
