He was very helpful, willing to listen to what we had to say, and actually try to resolve our financing problems. Unlike the other guy, he never insisted on asking us why or repeatedly keep trying to pitch us a warranty deal when we already said no, it was quick and straight forward with the paper works. More

I would give -5 stars if it was allowed. I'll tell you why. On Aug. 3rd, after getting off work I realized my 2016 Scion iA would not start. On Aug. 6th, I got it towed to the nearest dealership which just so happened to be Darcars Toyota of Silver Spring. My service advisor was David Misoi, who I might add seemed to be very ignorant and lacking of knowledge about automotive systems and how they work. Which I thought was kind of part his job especially since he's responsible for relaying information to customers. David calls me and says "The car won't start because you need a main fusible link which it located under the fuse box" (its actually located on the positive battery cable :) ) I say are you sure because I didn't see on under the fuse box. But I ask him are all the problems the car was having fixed (battery didn't start, no radio, & no horn) he say "Yes ma'am everything is working properly the car is ready for pick up. I say "okay great most likely I will be in to pick it up Friday".(I still have to gather the funds to pay for the repairs). He says okay. So the next day, I was able to come up with all the funds and I went to the dealer to pick up the car. So as I get there, there is no one there to greet me. I'm so lost I don't know who to speak to there is just a lobby full of people behind desks talking to their individual customers. So I just walk up to some random person with a blue "Darcars" shirt on and say is David here? So I'm then directed to David who seems very warm and nice. So the total for my car is $425.54. I pay the money and I'm directed to my car. I get in my car and as I'm pulling off I notice my radio and my horn still does not work. I return to the dealership and speak to David about it. These are things that I was told were repaired and working properly yet they were not. I literally spent 9 hours in this dealership, I was there from 1:30pm to about 9:30pm, which caused me to loose 5 hours of pay from my job. It wasn't until later that I realized that the service (or lack thereof) director Amir Gasemy was there until I left, not one time did he acknowledge me as a customer to see what was going on or why I was stil there after the place had closed. The next day the "service" (or lack thereof) manager Katie Gasemy calls me to get further feedback and ask me to bring the car in. So I get there for them to tell me that I needed to replace my horn and amplifier, which they estimated was going to cost me around $900 for parts- not including labor. As of today, car starts, my radio and horn works because it was just a 15 amp fuse in my fuse box that needed to be replaced. These people don't know what they are doing! Don't every go here for service they will lie to you just to get your money! This place sucks! More

The facilities showcase a level of dilapidation that feels disrespectful of the Toyota brand. And while it wasn’t as blatant as denying us a wedding cake, it felt as though that we weren’t welcome at DARCARS Toyota because of who we are. Unabridged: As someone who used to sell cars for a living, I’m struggling to make sense of the experience we just had at DARCARS Toyota. After having to create a parking spot because their customer parking was filled with unsold previous test drives, we had to walk into the showroom because there was no one on the lot to help. After walking in, we had to flag someone down because no one seemed to notice we were there. Thoroughly disinterested, the person mumbled that he had customers and waved someone else over. The person that was called over introduced himself but, on a scale from 1-10, his enthusiasm was at a 1. He asked us what we were interested in seeing. I gave him the specific CPO we were interested in. He immediately went into trying to up-sell me to a new car — which I found weird considering salespeople make more money off of used cars. However, he pursued the new car route and proceeded to give inaccurate information. After telling me that it was financially better to go with the new car than the used car because the interest rate was better on the new car, I pointed out that Toyota is currently offering the same finance rate on CPOs as they are on the 60 month RAV4. Once he realized that I had done my homework, he passed me off to a used car salesman. Now when I say that this next person couldn’t be bothered — I mean xxxx! Dude didn’t even bother introducing himself, even after I took the initiative to introduce myself. When I told him the car I wanted to test drive, he asked me where I had seen it, as if he was unfamiliar with this car. He motioned for us to have a seat on his ripped pleather chairs that were so cruelly being kept alive by duct tape and desperation. Thinking he misunderstood the situation, I advised that we still needed to drive the car. With the most energy he displayed during our entire time together, he curtly responded with “I know! I have to look up the car!” ... and then proceeded to ask me for the cars vin or stock number. I pulled up the car on THEIR website and provided him with THEIR stock number — and he seemed surprised when the car showed in stock. Now, I’ve been out of the business for about 7 years now, but when I sold cars, we knew EVERY piece of inventory on our lot, especially the pre-owned units because that’s where we made the most commission. So imagine how shocked I was that, not only did he have no knowledge of this car, but then proceeded to leave the internal systems page up with the company’s information on the vehicle while he went to get the keys. He came back and we exchanged keys thinking he would have a manager “appraise” my trade (put my vin into Black Book and get the bottom trade price) while he took us on the test drive. Alas, I over estimated the effort that this would require because he handed me the keys and walked away. Assuming he was taking my keys to the manager, we waited for a few minutes. When he returned, he asked if we needed anything. YES! I needed ANYONE at this dealership to find an ounce of salesmanship ... like just one. However, it’s clear that even with the Entune navigation system, not one would be found. So off we go on the test drive without the salesperson — lucky I didn’t need anyone to demonstrate how to use the features on the car. As we pull back into dealership, I see they parked my car in an accessible spot, as they were the only spots not filled with unsold test drives — so clearly gay customers aren’t the only ones not respected at DARCARS Toyota. We walk back into the showroom, where the salesperson is not waiting for us, but seated at his desk. He asked if we liked it, as he handed my key back to me. For those unfamiliar, a salesperson only hands back your keys if a deal is not possible. Since he had made no effort to open a proposal, he was giving me a clear sign that he was not interested in selling us a car. In an effort to retain any dignity, I said I liked it but wanted to wait and see what the 2019 will be like when it comes out soon. He said “Cool” and turned back to his computer screen. After all of this, I’m not going to pretend to know what was in this persons heart and ascribe hate to his actions. What I can say is that I left feeling disrespected, and cannot recommend purchasing from DARCARS Toyota. More
