Condescending. Soo many workers and yet we have been waiting 4 hours! We have the money, the financing, we should have been an in and out BUYING customer. I would not work with recommend working with Alexander C. as your sales rep. Completely ignored us. Was very condescending. Wasn't going to give us the inspection report until AFTER we purchased the Car??? Just stay away....Horrible business. There are plenty of wonderful Toyota Dealerships! More
Stay away from businesses like DARCARS Toyota in Silver Spring that deceive customers and leave them stranded after taking their hard-earned money. I bought a used BMW from DARCARS Toyota in Silver Spri Spring that deceive customers and leave them stranded after taking their hard-earned money. I bought a used BMW from DARCARS Toyota in Silver Spring, and it has been a nightmare ever since. The car wouldn’t start the very next day after I brought it home. When I contacted the dealership, they sent me to a random detail shop that had no expertise in handling electrical issues. My car sat there for over a week. When they finally called me to say it was “fixed,” the car wouldn’t start again the next day. I contacted them again, and they told me to bring the car to their Toyota service center. After jumping the car and driving it back, they checked it and said the battery needed to be replaced. Instead of replacing it on-site, they sent the car to the BMW service center, where it sat for over four weeks. This delay was clearly an attempt to bypass Maryland’s repair timeframe law. For reference, BMW always has batteries in stock and could have replaced it in a single day. When the car still wouldn’t start after all this, I reached out again, only to be told by their service staff, particularly Lorrine, that they wouldn’t help or cover any fees anymore. Her dismissive attitude was unacceptable. I went back to the dealership and spoke to Russel, who was polite and tried to help, but the used car manager, Calvin, refused to cover the repair costs. Calvin has ignored my repeated calls and emails, even though he’s seen all my complaints. I finally scheduled an appointment with BMW, where they informed me the real issue wasn’t the battery—it’s the head unit. The repair estimate is $4,693.97, and DARCARS Toyota refuses to take responsibility or even return my calls or emails. Right now, my car is completely nonfunctional, and this dealership has left me hanging. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, stay far away from DARCARS Toyota in Silver Spring. More
Took my GR86 to the first check-up and when I got the next check up I was told that they stripped the drain plug. This dealership does not care about your vehicle. Or YOU! Bought my car from here and didn't get my plates and registration for over 3 months, called to ask and discovered a bill for almost $1000 because they short charged me on sales tax and expected me to pa registration for over 3 months, called to ask and discovered a bill for almost $1000 because they short charged me on sales tax and expected me to pay this without any compensation for my time or their own inaccuracy in estimation, let alone lack of informing me via phone call, email, or letter. Poor service and even worse financial business practices. More

This dealership is a shame to the Toyota name and brand. My family and I have been a Toyota customer since 1997 … we have been loyal and bought multiple Toyotas throughout the years. I found a used Toyot My family and I have been a Toyota customer since 1997 … we have been loyal and bought multiple Toyotas throughout the years. I found a used Toyota Camry for my sister to buy. When we arrived at the dealership - they shoved the keys in our hand and told us to test drive the vehicle. No warm welcome .. no one walked with us to show us the car .. nothing. We came inside and spent approximately 3 hours going through the paperwork and financing. The finance manager was absolutely rude and forceful in trying to make us purchase certain packages … including GAP insurance. GAP insurance is OPTIONAL…. NOT REQUIRED! The finance manager has no business forcing someone to purchase optional packages that they DO NOT want to buy. Fast forward to about 8 weeks - the permanent tags have not yet “arrived” even though our temporary tags expire this week! The sales manager and GM have ignored multiple emails and not provided any clarification of a timeline. Honestly, I think no one at this dealership filed our registration paperwork in time - and now they are scrambling. As a loyal Toyota customer - this entire experience with Darcars Toyota of Silver Spring has been absolutely unacceptable. I will be escalating this to Toyota. More
Would never recommend buying a car from this dealership! My son found the vehicle he wanted at this dealership. Before we left Richmond and drove 3 hours he spoke to the dealership and got fina dealership! My son found the vehicle he wanted at this dealership. Before we left Richmond and drove 3 hours he spoke to the dealership and got financing set up before leaving Myself and my son talked to the used car manager several times before leaving Richmond. I explained that wanted to make sure everything would be ready to go (car included-the car was not completed upon arrival or departure of the dealership -the fee of the car included dar cars assurance and nothing was applied to the car and certainly not driving 6 hours round trip to get it done ) so we could test drive then sign papers and leave. We were assured that was the case. After the drive we arrived and asked for the manager Someone pointed to a man that was speaking very loudly to a customer. He asked us to go take a seat. I texted the sales rep and no response. Someone did find her and sent her to us She gave my son the keys to the car for a test drive … not once showed him anything about the car or discussed the car with him (he was buying a Supra which is a bit different than a typical Toyota ). After the test drive we waited over 3 hours to get into financing dept. nobody could seem to explain why. During this time we found out the manager left after his loud conversation with a customer (didn’t find this out until I texted him asking what was going on as we needed to leave ) Finally got into financing and signed the paperwork and they handed the keys and we were told good bye ! No going over the car or doing /going over a delivery checklist NOTHING ! Now fast forward 5 weeks later … we’ve been trying to find where our permanent Va plates would be received (after several emails to financing and no response ). Also text messages to manager and sales rep went unanswered. I reached out to the GM. He apologized via email. It then took yet another email to the Dar cars owners , ceo , customer relations and GM before any response to the plates (which temp tags expiring in 8-10 days ). Then on wed 2/14/24 were told they had the plates and would overnight with signature required. My son waited at home all day for the plates. Then got an email (after we asked when the plates would arrive ) saying they were sent out th for Fri arrival ! Now TWO FULL DAYS OF NOT WORKING waiting at home for plates ! Think twice before you buy from this dealership. More
When I picked up my GR86, the sales person told me that I didn't pay enough for my car and defaced it by leaving a corrosive substance on my running board. The manager fake disbelief was classic acceptance didn't pay enough for my car and defaced it by leaving a corrosive substance on my running board. The manager fake disbelief was classic acceptance of the daily mendacity that is DARCARS. Go somewhere else. More
