Ashley is an excellent Assistant Service Manager. She is professional and courteous in her demeanor and is easy to talk to. She is definitely skilled in this field. I am proud to see a female who "knows her stuff" when it comes to automobiles. I highly recommend Ashley and her facility on Route 40 West. Everyone in that facility comes across as pleasant and easy to talk to. The Salesmen, the ladies in the office and the repairmen (although they are not often seen in the lounge area)all are pleasant and greet customers with a smile. The facility's outside appearance is poor but the interior waiting area is comfortable. I highly recommend Ashley Bohrer! More
This comment could easily be split into 2; one positive for Rt 40 DarCars and one negative for Rt85 DarCars. The Rt 40 service dept of DarCars of Frederick restored my faith. My wife and I have bough for Rt 40 DarCars and one negative for Rt85 DarCars. The Rt 40 service dept of DarCars of Frederick restored my faith. My wife and I have bought 2 cars there, and have had work done there for years with excellent results. The service counter people know what they are doing, and will work with you to prioritize repairs. The manager I dealt with was named Ashley. Never felt pressured or that you were being screwed over, price-wise or quality-wise. Just had the same great experience again on May 3rd, 2011. (Not sure that having to have work done on your car can ever really be called a great thing, but you know what mean). Glad I went back to the older rt 40 site. It’s not fancy. It’s basic, and straightforward. They repair cars, and they do it well. About a year and a half ago (2009) I went to the new facility on Rt 85 (Buckeyestown pike) and hadn’t been back to DarCars since then. That experience was just wrong. Check engine and VSC light came on and I drove to Rt 85 DarCars from the highway. Just wanted a diag to find out what was wrong and to know if I should stop driving it right away. I should have gone home and looked up on the net. Turned out to be emissions, an O2 sensor, not imminent engine failure. It took almost 2 hours to tell me the results, which I thought was okay since I figure they were fitting me in. Turns out it took so long due to the full length exam (wipers, battery, cabin air filter, etc etc) they gave the car so they could try to upsale me on a $300+ bunch of crap. “Jason” (I pulled the ticket from my file) said my battery “failed” their test; was showing low and needed to be replaced. “It’s giving you trouble starting sometimes right?” Nice try, but negative ghost rider, the pattern is full. Still have the same battery; just gave some guy a jump start outside the library last week, didn’t even have to turn on my engine. Tell me that my battery failed your test, but don’t treat me like the dipstick you used to check my oil (which I didn’t ask you to check anyway). And don’t try to get me to pay for your fancy new showroom and service dept with the huge windows. Maybe I just got the wrong guy on the wrong day. Maybe he’s changed. Maybe he’s not there anymore. Maybe. I’m not going to test it. I’ll keep going back to the Rt40 service department of DarCars, not the one on Rt85 . I would rate the experience 1+ yrs ago at Rt85 at all 3’s except a 5 for quality of work (meaning the mechanic who actually worked on the car, upselling is not his fault), and overall experience as a 1 since it completely drove me away from using them at all. I would rate my experience just this week at Rt40 as all 5’s. Since I'm not finding that I can rate the 2 sites individually, I am recording the ratings for this most recent and positive visit. More

His work was demonstratively superior, both from a personal and professional perspective. While I do not know the inner workings of your full team, on the shop floor particularly, apparently your skilled technician found a small problem now that would certainly turn into a big problem somewhere, and that means no telling when or where, down the road. The problem was with the water pump. The problem was found, and I gladly authorized the service, and the big plus - it was still under warranty! That certainly influenced my overall experience satisfaction, don't you know. The price was great, because I got a lot of work done for a more than fair price. This shop has reached NEW HEIGHTS! DARCARS clearly puts the customer at the top of their priority list. There is a guy "at-the-ready" to prep your car for service as you start to step out of your vehicle in the receiving bay. You don't even get one step into the reception area before you are greeted and escorted to your intake person. You are given status updates frequently on the work of your car. They have an inpsection sheet they follow for each visit. I love the red/yellow/green indicators to let you know if there is something that needs to be done now, or soon. My Sienna has 75k, so it's time to be paying attention to those things more closely. There is wifi in the waiting area. Love these guys. More

Jessie walked through the parking lot with me when i was unsure of what kind of vehicle I wanted. He was very knowledgable on each vehicle that I expressed interest in. He also was a person of his word and of amazing character. I truely appreciated his assistance in locating and purchasing the "perfect truck for me". Sassan and Bill were alsoo insturmental in this purchase. Although I used other options to finance the vehicle, both of these gentlemen explained all of my options and worked tirelessly to ensure my satisfaction. By the way, Sasson is a very sharp dresser! I can not thank you enough for the time and patience that I was afforded at DARCARS, Frederick during the purchase of this vehicle. Jim Higgins, Finance Director, offered us a great True Market Value price for our car with no need to haggle. We rated the Overall Experience as 4/Good and not 5/Great due to our slight frustration with the Financial Services Manager. He was also friendly and we liked him, but he pushed the purchasing of "Gap" insurance for WAY too long. Having to say "No" over and over again left us feeling as if we weren't being respected. More
