My husband and I had a very bad experience at Darcars in Frederick. Aside from the fact that the employees were very nice (Paul Chesney), the negotiation of the vehicle price was downright sneaky. I didn't do a lot of research at other dealerships for pricing of the model of Toyota Sienna we wanted (big mistake). We test drove a Sienna one evening and started working out specifics of pricing and options. The one thing I knew from previous car buying experience was that you never should have to pay MSRP. NEVER. Well we were told that there were a limited number of the specific model of Sienna we wanted, therefore we would have to pay MSRP. They would not budge on the price. Thought that sounded a little fishy, but we went ahead with the loan pre-approval process anyway. We decided (since we had to wait for it to come in from another dealer) that we would sleep on it and call the next morning to discuss it further. I started to do some research online to discover that the exact model that we wanted with the same options was being offered at over $4,000 less than MSRP!! I was furious. I called the sales manager and he aggreed that he could match that price. What if I hadn't done some research on the internet? Darcars would have made a substantial profit from me, with monthly payments for me $100/month. What if an elderly person comes in and is on a fixed income and has no way of doing research on pricing. Joe couldn't have been more pleasant or professional. He was friendly, listened to our needs and desires, and went out of his way to meet them without being aggressive about a sale. Toyotas speak for themselves, but we had a bad experience at Rosenthal Toyota years ago and walked out of the dealership. We had nothing short of a wonderful experience in test-driving our car and throughout the negotiating and purchasing process. Jim Higgins, the financial representative with whom we worked, was also professional and sensitive to our needs. Last year we bought a Honda from Shockley Honda next door to Darcars Toyota, and while we loved the salesman, the financial representative became cold and indifferent once we declined certain extneded warranties and services. We experienced NONE of that with Mr. Higgins. Mr. Higgins, as well as Mr. Newman, made buying our new Toyota the most pleasant interactions we could have imagined. Patrick was great! This was my first time buying a car and he made the process easy and painless. He wasn't pushy like most salesman and I never felt pressured. Although, the sales department as a whole could work on their customer service skills slightly, as they were walking around the waiting area shoving sandwiches in their mouths and dropping crumbs on the floor. Krea was prompt, professional, and courteous at all times. From the initial telephone call inquiries in to pricing, models, colors, etc., Krea could not have been more accommodating. She made sure our requests were addressed immediately. From having the cars ready for a test drive to working with us to agree on a fair pricing, Krea was respectful and conscientious of our desire to complete a timely transaction. We completed the sale on our first night out! Krea was certainly instrumental in our decision to go ahead with the car deal--her attention to detail was impressive. Should any car shoppers out there know exactly what they want and are ready to purchase, consider working with Krea. Krea will exceed your expectations! Thanks Krea! John was very knowledgeable about the new Plug-In Prius where other dealers and sales persons were not up to speed with this new vehicle, financing for the vehicle, etc. John could demonstrate the feature where other dealers and sales persons were not up to speed with this new vehicle, financing for the vehicle, etc. John could demonstrate the features of the car, the value to the customer, and other features plus he was receptive to matching what other dealers were offering related to the final price. In addition, when we elected to sell our trade to a neighbor John obtained approval to change the deal and got it approved quickly. He was also very knowledgeable about the sources for tax benefits on the new car, both state and federal locations and sites where we could obtain detailed and current information that would benefit the customer and helped to make our final decisions on purchasing. In addition, this was the second hybrid car that we have purchased from John, the first being a 2008 Hylander Hybrid. Thanks John for a good experience. More

This was my first time in the new car market, with all my prior vehicles purchased via private sale. Ken was very informative and honest about how the process works. He worked with me to get me a really good deal. I will be recommending him through word of mouth to people that I meet that are looking for a new Toyota. Mike Obrien was also very helpful and was able to beat a very competitive finance rate that I had through my bank. More
