We went to check out new Hondas and this place is just ridiculous. The people accost you as you drive into the parking lot, and they are fairly pushy. The sales people seem like hungry wolves and this is ridiculous. The people accost you as you drive into the parking lot, and they are fairly pushy. Had been to this dealer for a service last year during a cross-country trip; the Service Rep. Nick Naydock gave me a list of items to fix on my 2 year old vehicle - amounting to about 1000$ ! Luckily, cross-country trip; the Service Rep. Nick Naydock gave me a list of items to fix on my 2 year old vehicle - amounting to about 1000$ ! Luckily, I didn't heed the advise; primarily because I got suspicious about the problems that this person said my vehicle had. And no other dealer has so far mentioned about those "problems" that were mentioned by this Service Rep! More
I went over there to have fix my car, they fixed (paid a lot). In my way home, a noise was coming from the engine. I went back and they said, “sorry, you need a service schedule” everybody is busy right no lot). In my way home, a noise was coming from the engine. I went back and they said, “sorry, you need a service schedule” everybody is busy right now. I asked to speak with the manager and he was not in there. Bad, experience and never coming back again. This is the worst dealership I have ever been to. My wife and I drove 3 in a half hours to buy a honda accord. We purchased the extended warranty which after 2 months still had not submitted to American Hon and I drove 3 in a half hours to buy a honda accord. We purchased the extended warranty which after 2 months still had not submitted to American Honda. I've had to call the dealership numerous times to get this taken care of, among other things. I found multiple items on the 150 point inspection list which they never looked at or fixed that makes the car 'certified'. I remind you that you pay around $630 for the certification, plus another $600 or so for the extended warranty. The car had brake issues, AC problems, car shook during 2nd gear acceleration, vibrated while idling, and the sunvisor was ripped. All of these things are listed on the 150 point certified check list. I imagine they didn't even look too much at the car at all. Most of the time hondas are problem free, and they probably make a stealing by charging people for the certification for a car that was never really inspected too closely. Then I found this site and couldn't believe how many people hated Fairfax Honda. I've had to make a claim with American Honda to take care of our issue with our car and the dealership. They were astounded to say the least to hear about problems I reported. It's too bad that there are stealerships like this one and gives Honda a bad name. I will NEVER go to these guys again and pleaing with you to never go there and waste your time and money!! More
If you have to take your car to Fairfax, don't leave it there. My daughter had to leave her car because the service wasn't completed. While her car was at the dealership, someone removed her installed st there. My daughter had to leave her car because the service wasn't completed. While her car was at the dealership, someone removed her installed stereo system, including speaker system. There was no evidence that the car was broken into. The dealership made a partial payment, but my daughter is still out over $400.00. Not much sympathy either. When I spoke with the dealership manager, he basically said it was our problem, that we should go to our insurance company, and he would not have even made the partial payment the service manager had offered. The only positive thing I can say of the experience is that the service manager, Mr Ortiz, was always courteous even if we disagreed. More

I bought my civic in may 2005, by October 2006 I was forced to by another by October 2005. I test drove the car and I heard a rattling in the back around the trunk, the salesman Ricky Teal-Clemmons tol forced to by another by October 2005. I test drove the car and I heard a rattling in the back around the trunk, the salesman Ricky Teal-Clemmons told me it was the license plate rattling in the window, I believed him. I came back the following Saturday to do all the paperwork, we agreed on a price of $8900 and they would give me $1100. I went into finance, bought an extended warranty and signed all the paperwork. I took my 2001 Civic EX Coupe home that night and went over the paperwork one more time. It seems as if the finance department was instructed by the sales manager to bump up the price of the vehicle so in actuality they only gave me $100 for my trade. Furious I went back to get my trade, and they would not give it to me. I then informed them that the car was in my FATHERS name and that legally I did not have the right to trade it in, so they could either honor the $1100 that we agreed upon or give me back my car!!!!! Needless to say they gave back the car to avoid a lawsuit. Also I showed them the worksheet that they gave me when I came in on the first test drive that clearly stated the price of the vehicle is $8900, they honored that as well!!!! I should have known something was up then!!!!! About a month later, the rattling in the back of the car began again, the paint started to peel off the middle of the bumper, I couldn't get certain local radio stations due to "ground frequency" (what the xxxx is that!?!?!?!), it became increasingly difficult for me to put the car in reverse (it was a manual), the light the illuminates the radio blew out, and on top of that, the warranty that I bought covered NONE of the mechanical problems!!!! I brought all this up to the managers and salespersonel involved and no one did anything to help me in the least bit. Five months later I canceled my warranty and used the money for a down payment on a 2006 Altima from Rosenthal Nissan in tysons, where they gave me 3 yrs 30,000 mile FREE oil changes, free virginia and emissions inspections for life, and are very courtesy and friendly when I have a problem with them!!!! I will never set foot in Fairfax Honda again, if you want a Honda that bad, find another dealership!!!!!! More
I bought my Civic at Fairfax Honda and since then have had numerous problems in the service department. A couple of years ago, I noticed a loud sound coming from the bottom of my car and they claimed I ne had numerous problems in the service department. A couple of years ago, I noticed a loud sound coming from the bottom of my car and they claimed I needed $2000 worth of work done to my car including a new muffler. I received a call that night saying my car was fixed. However, when I picked it up, it was making the same sound (I thought it might be psychological and decided to wait until the morning to drive it around and listen). I called them the next morning and they apologized telling me they never did the work on the car. Obviously mortified, I made them give me a free muffler even though they tried to argue it. Again, when I asked them to put a new air bag in my car to pass a safety inspection (they of course had to mention that I need another $1000 worth of repairs), my car is now making a rattling sound. I will not even call this horrible service department to fix it because I know they won't admit damage or charge me a ridiculous amount. This is a short version of how badly I was treated at Fairfax Honda. I've FINALLY learned my lesson and never going back. STAY FAR AWAY FROM FAIRFAX HONDA!!!! More
Sales experience, 2004: Coordinated buying a 2004 Sales experience, 2004: Coordinated buying a 2004 Accord, over the phone. Sales agreed to match internet price and claimed they had the car in stock. Sales experience, 2004: Coordinated buying a 2004 Accord, over the phone. Sales agreed to match internet price and claimed they had the car in stock. When I arrived, the saleman said "the car isn't here - it's in route". The story then changed to "it's been damaged". Then "we can't get that car - how about buying this nice one over here?". I left angry and bought the car from Rosenthal - Tysons - which was a good experience. Service experience, 2006: Tried to buy a part that was missing from my Honda jack kit. The parts dept. (espcially "Tony") were incredibly rude and unhelpful. It was an unbelievably bad experience. I left and bought the part at another dealer. I'll never go back for any reason. RECOMMEND: Hendrick Honda and Rosenthal Tysons Honda More
I walked into this dealership to buy a honda pilot exl with navi... and they were asking over list for the car... After a hour I proceeded home. the dealer called every few days until he came to a number with navi... and they were asking over list for the car... After a hour I proceeded home. the dealer called every few days until he came to a number I was happy with 29350 plus freight, tax, tile, processing.. Did the deal over the phone, thought it was going to be that easy.. Boy was I in for a ride. Got to the dealer, first they made me wait one hour.. Then the salesman says he could not do that price. I guess he forgot about the phone call! By this time my pregnant wife was irritated and asked for the manager. He basically called me a liar about the price and backed up his slimey salesman. I had previously bought a honda accord from this dealer and got my car serviced there, the sales manager outright said "we don't need you business". He said "there will be more customers". I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALER... STEER CLEAR. Anyway ended up getting the car from Keenan Honda outside phili for 28,800. OUT THE DOOR WITHOUT TAXES. Keenan honda is a great dealership with caring salemen would highly recommend the drive.. STEER CLEAR OF FAIRFAX HONDA!!!!!!!! More
