My experience with this dealership is only in service. It is so hard to find a good honest service advisor that you can trust, but that can be found in Melvin Smith at Fairfax Honda. I don't write reviews at all, but thought I would this time because Mr. Smith has been consistantly fabulous! He has been servicing my 4 hondas for few years now, and at every visit he has been absolutely professional, understanding, trustworthy, and honest with the required service(s). Mr. Smith genuinely cares about your concerns (be it costs or service) and tries to go the extra yard to assist. He also mentions any applicable coupons and explains the service thoroughly. Melvin Smith is definitely someone I would highly recommend! More
Sophia was very helpful and not pushy as I've experienced with other car salespeople before. I've done my research, and came in with a quote and exact model in mind, and she was very cooperative. experienced with other car salespeople before. I've done my research, and came in with a quote and exact model in mind, and she was very cooperative. After adding the usual taxes, tags, etc, the price was just a little higher than what was expected, but very close to my target- hence my "good" rating on price. The transaction was easy, and organized, and I left the place feeling great about my purchase. I would buy again from this location in the future. More
Sophia was wonderful. I was very specific about the car I wanted and it was difficult to find. She was very persistent in finding the car and kept me well informed of its progress. She even came in on he I wanted and it was difficult to find. She was very persistent in finding the car and kept me well informed of its progress. She even came in on her day off to settle the deal so the car would indeed be mine. More
I found Fairfax Honda on the Internet (eBay) and purchased a VW-certified pre-owned (CPO) 2010 Volkswagen EOS hardtop convertible with 25,000 miles. The car was described as being in perfect condit purchased a VW-certified pre-owned (CPO) 2010 Volkswagen EOS hardtop convertible with 25,000 miles. The car was described as being in perfect condition without a scratch, so I negotiated a price by telephone based upon that assumption. I purchased an airline ticket and flew to DC from Kentucky the very next day. Ray met me at the airport and drove me to the dealership where I was able to test-drive the car. While I did find one small scratch on the car next to the gas tank door, it was in immaculate condition otherwise. Since it was the lowest price I could find on a similar CPO vehicle in the entire country, I purchased the car and drove it back to Kentucky. In fact, it was about the best price I could find on any EOS with a clean CarFax. 2000 miles later, I took it to a local VW dealership, Sam Swope in Clarksville, IN and had the 30,000 mile service performed; it was covered by the original VW new car warranty. The dealership told me that everything checked out and couldn't find anything else that needed any other service (brakes, etc.), re-affirming everything that Fairfax Honda/VW/Volvo told me. Other departments were also helpful when I needed to have a registration form signed and notarized in order to avoid paying excess KY sales tax; they signed the form and returned it the day it was received! I gave five stars for Kazim Raza- He was accomodating and friendly and showed us many cars on the lot that were available for sale. He knew a lot about all of them. The car was well priced. I noticed that th friendly and showed us many cars on the lot that were available for sale. He knew a lot about all of them. The car was well priced. I noticed that the car was much more appealingly priced and in much better cosmetic shape than another exactly the same vehicle from Ted Britt across the street. Kazim Raza made the signing time minimal for the busy President's Day weekend and we were out of there in half the time of the normal car buying process. I recommend the sales guy and the dealership. My little brother also purchased from the New VW section of the dealership, so this is repeat family business. Good experience. More
I was completely satisfied with the work of Kazim on our trip to Fairfax to buy a used Honda Accord. He was very knowledgeable on the vehicles that we were looking at, and was very friendly throughout the trip to Fairfax to buy a used Honda Accord. He was very knowledgeable on the vehicles that we were looking at, and was very friendly throughout the whole process. The price was a great deal for what we were buying. A used vehicle that only had 10,000 miles on it, so basically a new vehicle that was fully loaded for a considerable amount less than what it would have been brand new. We were greeted in a timely manner, and treated with a great deal of respect throughout the afternoon. Kazim seem to enjoy his job and was provided a very positive buying experience for us. More
Fairfax Honda worked with us to meet the new car price and trade in value from another dealer. At no time did we feel pressured in to making a deal. Our salesperson, Mahamed Omar was very knowledgeable a and trade in value from another dealer. At no time did we feel pressured in to making a deal. Our salesperson, Mahamed Omar was very knowledgeable about the new car and worked hard to meet our price requirements. We have purchased over 5 cars from various dealers and this was one of the most relaxing experiences we have ever had. More
I am going to this dealership for last over 12 years but never had experience like the one that I am receiving from last few years. Service has really detriorated in last few years and focus has been shifte never had experience like the one that I am receiving from last few years. Service has really detriorated in last few years and focus has been shifted to the money making aspect of the business. We own honda cars for over 18 years and bought brand new 2003 Honda Odyssey bought from this very own dealership. From the beginning we maintained the car very well, always driven very carefully with only about 58691 miles for 2003 model and got all the services done on time. Even after all that from last few times everytime we would go there the service shop will start off with a samller job and in the middle come up with more jobs that need to be done and would cost anywhere from $1200.00-1500.00. If as a customer you would try to say no the advisor will insist you to get it done right then and there making it look like otherwise we should expect much bigger damage to the car and other advisors pitching in to support the advisor putting you in very humiliating situation in front of other customers and advisors to the point where customer is left with no other option but to proceed with what they are asking for. The most recent experience was for the service performed on 02/02/13 where I was insisted to get 60000 miles service at 58691 miles with other recommended expense of $1000.00. Ended up spending $600 for the job that could have waited for atleast few more months. Expressed my concerns but service advisor simply did not agree to my concerns. Talked to the Service Manager Oscar Ortiz on 02/05/13 who instead of understanding and addressing customer concern simply defended all the actions of his employees and advised that I am free to go anywhere else I wish but they will not be able to do anything. On receiving this kind of service called the corporate office same day who completely understood and agree with my ongoing unfortunate experience and was told that they are forwarding my feedback to dealership's upper management and I may expect to receive a call from them soon. After 8 days I am still waiting to hear back from them. This clearly reflects how much they care about their customers. Will definitely not go back to them ever again and will not recommend to anybody. It may seems absurd to some other reviewers reading these comments but these are the facts of the situation that I was subject to. More
