Best Auto Buying Experience Ever!! Let me first say I'm a recently divorced single mom of two, which after it, left me robbing Peter to pay Paul on let's say a fair share of my bills. T Let me first say I'm a recently divorced single mom of two, which after it, left me robbing Peter to pay Paul on let's say a fair share of my bills. This meaning I took a major hit on my credit! Knowing my credit score wasn't what it use to be, I entered the Dealership with major concerns wondering if I could even be approved at this point in my life! My Sales Consultant, Terry Shomari was the best! He offered me water almost immediately because of the warm weather and the jotted down some of my wants and needs when it came to what I was looking for! Terry suggested that the HR-V would be the perfect vehicle to suite myself and kids and he said it would give me the best chance to stay within my budget and monthly payments! He knew everything about the vehicle and even paired my phone before the test drive just in case I received a call! Rick Peregoy, one of the Manager's was also very nice and kept me laughing with his funny since of humor as he helped me select the best, comfortable payment possible for my budget! They got me approved and after about 20mins of me keeping my fingers crossed in suspence! I drove off as happy as a log in my New HR-V and wouldn't advise anyone to go elsewhere if your in the market for a Honda! 5 stars! More

Never Again After spending an afternoon picking out the perfect car for us, a new Honda Pilot, they kept trying to get us to sign paperwork BEFORE starting price After spending an afternoon picking out the perfect car for us, a new Honda Pilot, they kept trying to get us to sign paperwork BEFORE starting price negotiations. I told them I had firm offers for similar cars from TrueCar dealers, but since we had been servicing our car there for years we wanted to give them a shot. Their price was WAY more expensive. Their standard pricing sheet includes lots of line items for things we certainly did not want (wheel locks, pin-striping, etc) and confusing sounding items, which when you push them hard they finally explain is just extra profit for them. It's confusing, since the workup includes required items (tax) along with the non-required items. When confronted on the line item for "market adjustment" or similar wording, they just laughed and said the model is so popular they add a line item to increase the price. Stormed out and will NEVER return. I should also mention that they also offered us $3000 for our trade in (Odyssey Touring), which we ultimately sold privately for $6750. I know they can't trade in at private party sale price, but that difference is simply obscene. We have owned many, many Hondas since the 1980s, but this experience was so bad we may avoid the brand altogether. I More
Disappointment in whole dealership If you are a female do not go to this dealership to purchase a car. My daughter has the worse experience every in purchasing her car. We are ready t If you are a female do not go to this dealership to purchase a car. My daughter has the worse experience every in purchasing her car. We are ready to call 7 on your side to report our services. No call back, poor service in communication, promises broken, no answers. Poor management and ethics when dealing with a female customer. Run away from the person answering the phone. Call Corporate Office and that's a joke as well no results from them either. Kerry dropped the xxxxx when it came to giving my daughter his full time and attention. She is about to pay for a car that she has not enjoyed because it being painted or so claim at the shop and it is not a priority to include the GM, Sale Manager and Sale Consultant. What a shame never buy or recommended this dealership to anyone. More
Horrific maintenance experience. BUYER BEWARE should be their motto. We had a terrible experience recently that remains unresolved. My 77 year old mother in law came in for an oil cha BUYER BEWARE should be their motto. We had a terrible experience recently that remains unresolved. My 77 year old mother in law came in for an oil change and left with a $2400 dollar bill. They recommended having the timing belt and water pump replaced (approximately a $900 job), even though she had the same work accomplished 3 years ago at the same facility. They also recommended changing the front axles because one of the boots was cracking, even though the axles were fine. At least there was some underlying defect. When performing the maintenance, the technician failed to tighten the left axle nut as required and it had started backing off. It was so loose that the left axle came disengaged while I was driving at highway speeds. I barely avoided an accident. Fortunately, I was able to tighten the nut enough to get home. I went to talk to the Service Manager, Mr Lavin, the next day. Initially he handled the matter professionally and directed the mechanics to inspect the car. I then asked him about why they were recommending a change in the timing belt when she had that same work accomplished here 3 years ago (according to the Honda website, this is done at 105,000 miles or 7 years). He blamed my mother in law for not knowing the work was previously accomplished, He became rude when I suggested that customers that come to the same dealership repeatedly have a reasonable expectation that the dealer keep the records. He stated that the ownership had changed and that the old owner took the records. I responded by questioning whether his department informed her that they no longer had any records and that she needed to look at her receipts to see if this maintenance had been accomplished. His response was even more defensively rude. And this behavior came to a customer who was almost in an accident due to negligence of his staff the day before. At that point I had enough of his behavior and left the facility quite angry. I called the general manager and left a message, but have not heard back. I guess DarCars Honda in Bowie has plenty of eight year customers to throw to the curb. I guess I will have to elevate this to Corporate Honda and see how they think that this should have been handled. More
Complete lack of ability to execute standard paperwork Horrible dealership. I purchased a car a month ago, and they still haven't processed the paperwork to pay off my old loan. I called my bank and the Horrible dealership. I purchased a car a month ago, and they still haven't processed the paperwork to pay off my old loan. I called my bank and the dealer inquired as to a payoff on the date of sale (exactly 30 days ago) but never followed up. I spent three hours today talking to managers who "gave me their personal word that they would follow up in five minutes with a call back"...and nothing. Avoid this place as they are either incompetent, ignorant, or deceitful. More

The customer service rep very politely came out and explained that the problem was not merely the bulb, but the headlight apparatus, and said that it would cost $800 to fix! When I asked why the price was so high, I was told that the part costs $500. A little research online produced the exact same part for $71.68. Also, the labor cost of 300$ was bested by our usual mechanic at Bowie Motors who quoted us a price that was less than half the money. So, by not having this repair job performed at Darcars Honda, I saved a whopping $590! Check elsewhere for parts and labor before bringing your Honda here! More

I had already bought a battery from elsewhere, but he worked out another solution that has helped to restore my faith in this dealership and its service. Their price on my oil changes is the best price for my car. Prices on other things could be better though. ........................ So, the day I bought my 2013 Honda Civic here, it had transmission issues. The sales rep also tried to trick me into giving them my info to pull my credit even though I was already financed, claiming the Patriot act. They replaced the original car I bought. Now, less than 3 years later, I find that their batteries suck AND it's a common problem with 2013 Honda Civics. Your original batteries are only covered for 36000 miles. They'll put the exact same product in your car but cover it for 100 months if you buy a replacement one with them. Sounds kinda scammy to me. A cheap ploy to make you buy additional batteries. Give you a crap battery in order to get you to buy a new one. Additionally, the service department charges literally double the going price for certain fluid replacements. I can say I'm not exactly pleased with my service here. More
