Since my 2006 Honda Odyssey was getting a little long in the tooth, I decided to visit Honda of Bowie to entertain making a new purchase. They offer exceptional customer service and no nonsense negotiating ...not to mention their outstanding service department. Make no mistake; I do my research before making car purchases weighing saftey, reliability affordability and convenience. If you plan on making a new car purchase, please consider Honda of Bowie and ask for Travis. You won't be disappointed. More
I purchased a 2003 Honda CRV from this dealer in September. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and I feel like I got pretty fair price. I went in thinking I was just going to look after spending several evenings looking at CRVs and prices on the Internet, but I drove off with a car. I would describe their sales tactic as firm, but unintimidating. I put a deposit down on the vehicle with the verbal agreement that I could take it to my mechanic for inspection. There were several things wrong with it: a bad rotor, a cracked steering wheel belt and burned-out actuators for the back door locks. Honda replaced all the bad parts (though they resisted a little on the actuators). This was my first dealer experience and it was overall positive. If I was to do it again I'd probably not put a deposit down first before taking the car to my mechanic. I was nervous the entire time that they would back out of their agreement to fix any problems. I was ready the entire time to drop the car off with the keys and cancel the deposit through my credit card company. But in the end they came through for me. More

If you want a terrific salesman who will work hard to get you the best deal possible, you've got to go to Mr. Yancey at Honda of Bowie. I drove three hours one way just to work with him. I first got a quote on e-mail, then talked with him on the phone. After that, my husband and I decided that it would be worth the trip to meet him in person. This was after going to three other Honda dealers, getting reasonable offers, but dreading going back to the dealership for one reason or another. I left Honda of Bowie with a new vehicle that I just love. We couldn't thank Mr. Yancey the sales manager enough. The sales manager even gave my husband a hat! Denise LaRue More
I like to support local businesses when I can. My local Honda dealer is Hendrick Honda. I tried to buy a car from Hendrick but the salesman was so rude that I wound up buying a Toyota. So 2 years later I needed a minivan and I wanted a Honda Odyssey. So I tried Hendrick Honda again. They had the van with the color and trim that I wanted on the lot. After 5 hours of talk the best deal I could get was sticker + ADM of about $1600 or sticker less ADM and $16,000 for my trade in. That was 6 hours I'll never get back, shame on me. I gave my car to a wholesaler for $20,000. I then found Honda of Bowie through costco. Called Patrick Kiger at Honda of Bowie and scheduled an appt. Patrick showed me a list of costco prices which seemed fair for both the dealer and customer. He also showed me a list of Vans that were coming in the next couple months. The van with the color and trim that I wanted was due to arrive a month later. I put a deposit down on it and left. Easy business, the way it should be. A month later Patrick Kiger called and we set up a delivery appointment. I picked up the van and was happy. Again, easy business the way it should be. Patrick even mailed me my tags when they came in so I wouldn't have to make another trip to the dealership(I live in another state). Yes again easy business, the way it should be. I truly wish Honda of Bowie was my local Dealership. More

Honda of Bowie is an impressive relatively new dealership--clean, comfortable, and well appointed with a cheerful and cooperative sales staff that works as a team. Our salesman worked with a desk dealership--clean, comfortable, and well appointed with a cheerful and cooperative sales staff that works as a team. Our salesman worked with a desk-mate, which cut down on wasted time. When one was not available, the other was on deck. The certified pre-owned Honda came with a guarantee that was explained in detail to us and the car was in excellent condition--well-maintaned and well-prepared. As a former Honda owner--my first-year model Odyssey finally died after 400,000 miles--I strongly recommend both the brand and the dealership. More

I reached Honda of Bowie on line, and R.T. responded by phone within hours. He informed me on models available and when I went to the dealership. R.T. took me in hand immediately, showed me what was on the lot, and I took a test drive. He was responsive to my particular interests, suggested a CR-V model which I liked, provided a reasonable price offer which did NOT need to be bounced up to every manager in the building, and arranged a financing process which i suggested and the dealership concurred in, and I drove away in a new vehicle after a remarkably painless and agreeable deal. R.T. was helpful, knowledgeable and courteous throughout, and I look forward to considering him my point of contact for any future questions or needs with Honda of Bowie. All the people I met in the dealership were friendly and completely professional. More
