I started shopping for a car over 2 monhs ago, with Honda of Bowie and Lewis Vest. It took me a while to make a decsion on exactly what I wanted. Once I finally decided on the particulars I wanted in the vehicle, I made a selection on-line but mentioned that Lewis had been helping me. His efforts continued and he again/still reached out to me. I arranged a test drive with him. When I arrived at the dealership, he had the vehicle parked 10 feet from the entrance and was ready for me! The test drive was all I had hoped it would be - and more! I know the sales process takes some time, and I don't really enjoy that part of the purchase of a vehicle, and I told Lewis that. He did his best to work out a deal that made me happy, and did it as quickly as he could. He covered the basics and features of the new vehicle and gassed it up himself. The detailing was perfect and I drove away VERY happy. I had the vehicle I wanted, at a price I was happy with, and with sales service that was as good as I could have imagined. Count me as a HAPPY customer! More

Within 3 weeks of driving off the lot, I had to get the driver's side headlight replaced, an emissions leak fixed so the check engine light can turn off, new wiper blades, and the weather strip between the driver's side headlight replaced, an emissions leak fixed so the check engine light can turn off, new wiper blades, and the weather strip between the door and the frame re-secured. When I went to the service department at 2:30 on a Saturday, the head guy just told me that they were closing in 1.5 hours and there was nothing they could do. How long does it take to replace a headlight bulb? He didn't even offer to wash it, and I'm supposed to get a lifetime of free car washes. When I tried to call Elmer, who sold me my car at a huge markup (I notice more damage every time I use my vehicle), he was never there and never returned my calls. I paid $170 out-of-pocket less than one month after driving this piece of junk off their lot. Oh, and to sweeten the pot, I bought this car on 8/17/13 and have temporary tags that expire on 10/9/13. Despite my visits and calls, I didn't hear anything about the status of my tags until today. I guess you have to leave a berating message to get a call back, because that is what I did and Elmer magically knows how to use a phone now. They don't even have the title for this car and can't apply for the tags until they have it. Doesn't that sound like something you'd tell a customer?! Were they just going to let me drive around with expired T-tags? I hate everything about this dealership and hope they go out of business. I guess they only have good service for Hondas. I bought a used Mazda and have been regretting it ever since. More

I purchased my ’94 Honda Civic Ex from Wilson Honda, now Sports Honda, in Silver Spring MD and I haven't had a car payment or bought a car from a dealership in about 20 years. Thus just from my first visit to Honda of Bowie, I considered a revisit to purchase my next car. Well, September 6th, 2013, I received a call from Brenda Bivins, Internet Sales Consultant at Honda of Bowie, in response to my online inquiry. We both introduced ourselves to each other personally; she was very friendly, and answered all my questions and that truly made me feel welcome. However, I wasn’t sure if I was going to visit the dealership on Labor Day and she understood. Brenda gave me her contact information and told me to call her if I decide to come out. I was so excited after the call that I called my son to tell him that I received a call from Honda of Bowie. Upon my arrival I met Brenda Bivins and it was even more of a pleasure. She was very courteous, pleasant, professional, respectful, humble, ethical, and knowledgeable. Even though I asked questions on our initial meeting via phone, I consider her as an extremely good listener because she answered every question and all concerns that I had and never once made me feel that I was asking too many questions or taking up too much time. She maintained professionalism throughout the entire transaction. She educated me about the car of my interest and walked me through the whole process which included a test drive of the car and the explanation of all the features of the vehicle’s comprehensible technology. Brenda was great to work with and I would truly refer all my friends to deal with Brenda Bivins at Honda of Bowie. When I reached Patrick McCloskey to work on the financial part of the deal, his humor and warmth made this portion of the transaction move swiftly. He explained everything thoroughly and shared some personal experiences with me to help me gain perspective. In closing, having worked at USA Today newspaper for 20 years plus, I had the opportunity to talk to people all over the globe by phone, mail, email, fax, video conference and other forms of media; thus, it is extremely beneficial to have excellent customer service. It is a wonderful thing when customer service can be experienced at all levels within an organization and Honda of Bowie passed this test with flying colors! This team exceeded my expectations and I would recommend Honda of Bowie to everyone who wants a great car buying experience! By the way, the Nick Cannon commercial is great! More

Our family just purchased our first car in Maryland and decided on a CRV through the outstanding support from Bowie sales representative, Ms. Anacristina Embrey. Ms. Embrey offered a demo ride on the road but I declined her efforts only because I was already sold on the car. Her overall enthusiasm created the opportunity for us to make a quick decision for our purchase that same day. Terrific team at all levels. All the sales staff I worked with were helpful and knowledgeable. The final price was fair and the purchase was the most trouble free that I have experienced in the last 10 years.
