So, when I needed to trade in my car with manual transmission for an automatic(having knee-replacement surgery this spring), I wanted to purchase a newer used car from this dealership because of my history with them. PJ and Peter showed me several RAV4s, and I found a 2012 that I liked. They worked with me, gave me a good deal, and I drove it off the lot that afternoon. The car runs great, even though I seriously miss my stick shift! When you go to this dealer, I highly recommend working with PJ and Peter. I sensed they were going to do the right thing by me, and they did! Thank you. More
Good experience buying a truck! I visited the 355 Toyota Scion last Friday. Caesar, my sales associate, showed me the trucks in stock. They were all good, but not what I was looking for. Caesar listened to what I wanted and told me he would continue searching. Three days later, Caesar called to say he thought he found my truck. He was right! PJ Mehta made sure it fit in my budget and then had the truck detailed. Alex, in Finance, made the paperwork easy. In just hours after receiving the call, I was happily driving home with my truck. I will definitely return to 355 Toyota Scion when I need another vehicle. More

Mahamat Hamid is Knowledgeable and Kind I first met Mr. Hamid in 2007. He actually was helping the salesperson working with me. I had wished I worked with Mr. Hamid instead of the other pers I first met Mr. Hamid in 2007. He actually was helping the salesperson working with me. Dealership stripped drain plug and stuck me with $600 bill We purchased a maintenance plan with the vehicle we bought new and been in regularly for service. We pay about $10 for an oil change with the plan, wh We purchased a maintenance plan with the vehicle we bought new and been in regularly for service. We pay about $10 for an oil change with the plan, which is the only reason why we continue to go here. This most recent time we dropped off the car and were called about an hour later by the service adviser notifying that the drain plug was worn, oil leaking, and that the oil change could not be done unless the drain plug and pan were replaced. Charged $600 for this! This dealership (and Darcars Frederick, same parent company) are the only ones to ever do oil changes on the car. I believe a technician at the dealership stripped the drain plug by over torquing or cross threading the plug. There had never been an oil leak from the car on our driveway or garage. The drain plug does not wear down when you drive, but only if removed or installed improperly before and after an oil change. Service manager was of no help and claims that it is normal wear and tear. The customer relations representative told me the same and that it could have happened anytime after the last oil change. Not sure how this happens since the drain plug does not wear when you drive. She told me nothing can be done and that the bill is what it is and did not try to make things right. Avoid this dealership!! More
Internet Sales/Customer Service I usually don't write reviews but I just could not help myself with this particular Car Dealer experience. I am active duty military and have purchas I usually don't write reviews but I just could not help myself with this particular Car Dealer experience. I am active duty military and have purchased at least 11 vehicles in my lifetime this was the worst experience by far at 355 Toyota Scion, 15625 Frederick Road, Rockville, MD 20855. First of all, I call the used car sales representative PETER HUAN and he didn't know if they even did out-of-state sales even though the dealer advertised it on the web (response: Let me ask my manager PJ).I breakdown the process and explain my situation "I am in the process of moving like all Soldiers do every so many years" he then asks for a bunch of personal identifying information. I do their credit application for identity PROOF ONLY and forward them a plethora of personal information to satisfy their sales manager. I offer to put down good faith money 500 dollars standard at most dealerships and am told don't worry about it he's putting a sold on the 2015 Toyota Tundra already. I awake to two sets of emails the first saying lets start the purchase process ( 3:48AM HST) and the next stating they just sold the vehicle within three hours of the first email (6:50 AM HST). I am on a 6 hour time difference in Hawaii versus Maryland and explained all of this everyone I spoke with at the dealer. I have my wife call from a different number to inquire if truck is available and surprise it is. I then call PETER and TJ the sales manager to call them out on their lie and let them know its a shame how they handled a active duty military customer just because of the extra work to close the deal and the fact we sometimes don't have the stability of a civilian to walk in the dealership to make the purchase of the exact vehicle desired. Its gets funny from here now they explain they want to work with me and will see if they can get the other purchaser another truck LOL! He acts as if the guy is sitting next to him and he's working through this with several calls to their other dealerships they own. This was an elementary joke SALES people wake up no one this naive anymore coupled with the fact that I read your reviews now. YOU CAN KEEP THE TRUCK AND YOUR BS TOO. I WILL ALSO WARN ALL of my MILITARY BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN THE AREA ABOUT YOUR SHADE TACTICS VIA EVERY SOCIAL MEDIA FORUM I AM ON. More

Over 3 months and still waiting for a resolution I purchased a Rav4 from DARCARS 355 Toyota of Rockville back in June 2014. Because it was an out of state purchase I was told that they would process I purchased a Rav4 from DARCARS 355 Toyota of Rockville back in June 2014. Because it was an out of state purchase I was told that they would process my tags and registration which I would get in a few weeks. I was given temp tags that expired 2 months later - Aug 2014. The registration card I was given had the wrong model and color of the car – I notified them and they said that it didn’t matter. As Aug approached and I still had no tags, I called them repeatedly and had my sister who lives near the dealer go by multiple times to find out what the hold up was. Sometimes we were told it was in process, other times we were told more paperwork was needed. They eventually gave me another temp tag that expired Sept 2014. I finally found out on my own that there was a balance due on my Connecticut property taxes. This was immediately taken care of on my end and paperwork was send over to 355 Toyota for notification. This misunderstanding could have been avoided with a simple phone call from the Finance Manager back in June or July. We are now in Sept 2014 and i still dont have my tags or registration. My temp tag is now expired, I have filed a complaint, I have spoken to probably everyone at the dealer and the answers I keep getting are (1) that they called me to notify me of what was needed – this is not true – they called me one time while my sister was there to tell me they needed an original not the faxed copy of my vin verification (2) that they cant provide me with another extended tag (3) to just drive around with expired tags (4) that there was nothing they could do but wait for Connecticut DMV. (5) That they wouldn’t provide me a rental during the time I had no tags. (6) That I would be fully responsible for any tickets I receive. I have called the Connecticut DMV only to find that they had none of the paperwork the dealer was talking about; in fact I provided the documents to the dmv myself. I finally got a call from someone on the day before my tags expired to tell me that they would pay upto $25 a day for a rental but not the taxes and fees. I have now been using the rental for 9 days, I still don’t know where my tags or registration are. The rental bill is now at $425 however they are only paying $225. Not only have the employees lied and not been helpful at all at 355 Toyota but their own general mgr hasn’t had the decency to provide a call to try to help resolve this situation. The lack of customer service skill and communication from the people at 355 Toyota is preposterous. More

Payam was very helpful is getting us the best deal we could find. When we told him we had to be home at a certain time to pick up grandsons he worked quickly to end the financial process. We went away very pleased with his efforts. More
