Above and Beyond Let's be honest. Stuff happens! Things turned South for me a couple of years ago. Through it all, my car was extremely important. It was only a couple Let's be honest. Stuff happens! Things turned South for me a couple of years ago. Through it all, my car was extremely important. It was only a couple of months before my lease ended when - despite previous age discrimination - I finally found a new job. Things had been tight. Then, I got the phone call. What to do? I knew I'd never qualify for another lease; not for the size vehicle I needed. I was going to have to purchase the one I'd been leasing, but qualifying still weighed heavily on my mind. Chris, my D&M rep understood. He gathered the needed information and went to work. Chris found me a lender AND dropped my payment by $110! But there's more. The process required the car be inspected as part of the purchase process. I told Chris I'd have to wait till payday, but he said, "not so fast." He made a phone call and got someone to inspect the car at D&M's expense. What a blessing. Or so I thought. Things had been tight and I knew that replacing my tires would soon be a priority. Well, sooner than I thought. Before it even began, the inspector told me that if he went forward with the inspection it would fail. The tires were well below minimum standards to pass. I panicked and told Chris the inspection was back on hold till payday. Again, not so fast... Chris told me he worked with a vendor who deals in used tires, made a phone call, and arranged for the purchase of near-new tires that fell within a range I could afford. Many (many) years ago I got a job selling cars for the express purpose of learning how to buy and lease cars. DO NOT lease or purchase a vehicle without talking to Chris. As my wife likes to say, "Trust me on this one little thing!" More
