Three weeks of searching almost every dealership in our area, either being ignored or treated like a clueless dolt, lied to, cajoled, and actually flat out insulted in writing at one dealership, and I was area, either being ignored or treated like a clueless dolt, lied to, cajoled, and actually flat out insulted in writing at one dealership, and I was ready to keep my 2000 minivan! My brother told us to try Curtiss Ryan Honda. As a last ditched effort, my husband and I gave it a shot. Oh My Goodness! Wish I listened to my brother in the first place. They are friendly, honest beyond belief, sincere, courteous, easy to work with - yes, at a car dealership! My salesman, Frank, listened to what we were looking for, listened to my list of concerns, and put me in the Honda CRV that was a perfect fit for me. He didn't try to over sell amenities I would never use. He drove to another lot up the street to bring back a CRV in a certain color just because I was curious! (No, I didn't take that one (o: ) In fact, they had to order the color I wanted from another dealer. This was on a Monday late in the evening. We were leaving on a long weekend that Friday and when the dealer they chose couldn't have the car to them in time for our trip, they actually went to another dealer to be sure I had the car I wanted, when I wanted it, in the color I chose! When I picked up the car, Frank (always kind and sincere) had it pulled up in front, waiting for me! He even took my old plates and CLEANED THEM UP before he put them on the new car. He had set the clock, balanced and tuned the radio, and even put the back seat headrests down because he remembered from the test drive that I said they were distracting! The car was backed in near the front door so he could demonstrate the rear view cameras. He thought of everything! Kim Curtiss finished up paperwork with us and then Frank met us at the car and spent about 45 minutes with me explaining every detail about the car. He was patient and knew the car well. He was able to help me understand how to make my phone work with the blue tooth, helped me figure out the radio, explained the "easy" way to do things, and even pointed out things that might confuse or annoy me and told me how to work with them (for example the knob for tuning the radio was also for changing stations depending on which mode it was in). He made sure I was completely comfortable with the car before leaving me to drive off in my (fully fueled!) new CRV. And my first oil change is FREE! They even offer "get to know your vehicle" sessions once a month in the evening! The financing was a cake walk and while they offered other add on warranties, Jack was not pushy and actually told us we would not need some of them (my choice was to avoid all the techie stuff so some of the warranties would have been over kill). We felt comfortable and at ease the minute we walked in! The dealership was spotless, including the restrooms (even at 8 pm) - that may sound crazy but you can tell a lot about a place by the restrooms! I never once felt pressured. As a matter of fact, they never took my license or credit card from me. Every other dealer did. They were respectful of our time, and when my husband and I needed to talk things over, they always offered to give us space. To go from "ok, I'm keeping the mini van with 135,000 miles and a leaky muffler" to "Where do we sign?" in just one visit says it all. Go to Curtiss Ryan, talk to Frank Paternsotro, and rest easy. No funny business here. Just good old fashioned customer service! Oh Yeah! More
