I am writing this review, because of my recent experience with Curry Subaru. I just purchased my 3rd Subaru Forester from Curry Subaru, and I strongly feel my ratings on this form are well deserved. My with Curry Subaru. I just purchased my 3rd Subaru Forester from Curry Subaru, and I strongly feel my ratings on this form are well deserved. My satisfaction with Curry is in great part due to my salesman, Marc DeBenedictis. Marc has been the only salesman I used through all 3 of my Subaru leases. I would not use another salesperson. Marc is a great salesman, he is very attentive to customers, returns phone calls and answers questions quickly and easily, showing a knowledge of the Subaru line of cars. It is an asset for Curry Subaru to have Marc on staff. I am very satisfied with the service and overall experience I have had with Curry Subaru over the past 6 years and will continue to use them for my Subaru service. More
This was my first experience with Subaru, having owned mostly Volvo’s and I was thrilled with the service and education my salesperson, Gabe Kourie gave me. He was very patient as I went through all the s mostly Volvo’s and I was thrilled with the service and education my salesperson, Gabe Kourie gave me. He was very patient as I went through all the steps necessary for me to make the decision. Several months of visits, test drives, discussions on the different models, pros and cons of each one as they related to my lifestyle and my business. I feel good about the service for the car that Curry offers too. I have already recommended Gabe to my real estate clients who will be in need of a car when they move from the city to the area! Gabe is the best! More
Even catching the sales staff at a bad time (annual holiday party), they were most helpful and Marc was quite knowledgeable and went the "extra mile" on the little details that all add up. holiday party), they were most helpful and Marc was quite knowledgeable and went the "extra mile" on the little details that all add up. My husband and I weren't planning to buy a new car,but a couple of weeks ago there was a bad snow and we couldn't navigate up a hill because our van didn't have four wheel drive and our 2000 jeep car,but a couple of weeks ago there was a bad snow and we couldn't navigate up a hill because our van didn't have four wheel drive and our 2000 jeep finally died,so I told my husband we couldn't go through winter without 4 wheel drive, a neighbor mentioned to him about Subaru cars, so my husband figured he check them out. He went to Curry Subaru and met with one of the salesman Kurt Glass who spent quite a bit of time with him.My husband didn't buy a car that night because he wanted me to see the cars and again Kurt spent a great deal of time with us,and because of that we ended up with the Impreza. The night we picked up the car ,Kurt went over every aspect of the car even the Bluetooth capabilities. What was so unique about Kurt was that he was with us way after the dealership closed. Bottom line the only reason we brought the car was because of Kurt. More
Be sure to avoid Curry Subaru. As a former Curry Toyota customer, I thought that I would get the same service as I did at Curry Toyota. Instead, I was lied to repeatedly and called/emailed relentlessly. C customer, I thought that I would get the same service as I did at Curry Toyota. Instead, I was lied to repeatedly and called/emailed relentlessly. Curry Subaru salesman John Sullivan “accidentally” took me out in a car that was a higher end model than the one I inquired about. Then he tried to “negotiate” with his manager and “came down” to MSRP on the one that I wanted. John called me the following day to say that I was "right to look elsewhere” and “could get a better deal.” When two dealerships offered lower prices with more features and better terms, I gave Curry Subaru a chance to match it. John let me know via phone and email that his manager agreed to match the quote. When I asked for the quote in writing, his tone suddenly changed and he told me "that might be a problem." About a half hour later, his manager emailed me as though they had never agreed to match the price. I asked John what happened to his manager promising to match their price and he replied “He changed his mind…” When I gave them an opportunity to explain why I was mislead, Curry Subaru sales manager Eric Erbsland put it on me as though I was being unfair to expect them to honor the quote and put it in writing. He wrote “it would make me a liar if after telling you that $365 was my best deal to then lower the payment further. I don’t do business that way.“ This is seriously how they handle customer service. In short, Curry Subaru is unprofessional and disreputable. Call around and do your research and avoid dealing with these unscrupulous salesmen. More
Kurt was very knowledgeable and provided good customer service. Easy to work with. The negotiation process was pain free, I think they gave me a decent deal. The finance guy was a finance guy. I would hat service. Easy to work with. The negotiation process was pain free, I think they gave me a decent deal. The finance guy was a finance guy. I would hate to have a job like that. They do what they do - try to get you into a higher interest loan, sell you stuff after the sale etc. He wasn't very pushy though, which was nice. Overall a good dealership that I would recommend. This was my first car purchase in my life and Jag was the employee who helped me find the right Subaru for me. I brought my parents along with me and my father suggested looking at a Subaru Impreza, but from employee who helped me find the right Subaru for me. I brought my parents along with me and my father suggested looking at a Subaru Impreza, but from looking at the cars in the lot, I remembered that the Impreza was smaller compared to some of the other cars. I explained to Jag that I was looking for a car that had more room than the Impreza, a car with heated seats and all wheel drive since I was moving to North Dakota and the weather in the winter is extremely cold, snowy and windy. He listened to what I said I needed in a car and from there he suggested looking at a Subaru Crosstrek. After he described the Subaru Crosstrek to me, I thought it could be a good car and after the test drive I realized that the Crosstrek was a good car for me and was what I wanted and needed. I thought Jag listened well to me and made sure that I got the car that I needed and wanted instead of what my family may have wanted for me. I thought Jag listening well to me and making sure I got the car I wanted was important because I was the customer and my parents were not. Throughout the car buying process, I thought Jag was friendly to me as well as my family and this was evident in his tone of voice, facial expressions and body language. He was also polite to me and my family and this was evident in his manners. As someone who doesn't know much about cars, I thought Jag was extremely helpful and informative when explaining the features of the Crosstrek, how certain features in the Crosstrek work and how to properly care for the Crosstrek. I appreciated his help in showing me how certain features in the Crosstrek worked such as the bluetooth and setting up the bluetooth feature. I thought he also did a great job of answering my questions. I will recommend Jag to my friends and family members if they are looking to purchase a Subaru. I am thankful that Jag was the employee who helped me to find the right car for me and helped me to purchase my first car and first Subaru! More
Jon was friendly knowledgeable and thorough. I arrived looking for two cars but was undecided on make and model. He patiently spent time with my wife and me defining our needs and presenting all the optio looking for two cars but was undecided on make and model. He patiently spent time with my wife and me defining our needs and presenting all the options Curry Subaru had to offer. Once we determined which models were best for us he honestly negotiated a price which worked for our budget. I returned the following weekend to purchase cross bars for my roof rails & Jon actually helped me install them which was above and beyond his role and responsibility. More
I have been in the market for a new car for months, and think I test drove every mid-sized SUV in the upper Westchester area.I knew I wanted a Subaru because they were amazing in the snow. I went to Gabe a think I test drove every mid-sized SUV in the upper Westchester area.I knew I wanted a Subaru because they were amazing in the snow. I went to Gabe at Curry Subaru, and test drove a few different cars. I told him the specifications I wanted in a used car, and a few days later, they got the exact car in. They received the car on Monday, and I drove it home on Saturday. The car was clean, drove wonderfully, and I am so happy with my new purchase. More
