Charles Hakim was extremly patient and truly forthcoming with all of the pros and perhaps even "words to the wise" from his experiences with cars over the years. His knowledge of automobiles he accumulated over the years is second to none! His comparisons were on the money and very topical. I was able to negotiate a very fair price which was in my means, I absolutely love the car, love the dealership and truly appreciate Charles Hakim for the car buying experience of a lifetime. I intend to recommend Charles to my friends and family and purchase an Acura as I.As the Curry advertisement states "A major component of the program focuses on the client experience and customer satisfaction." I bought a Certified Pre-Owned MDX 2009 TEchnology. I contacted almost EVERY Acura dealership within 100 miles from NY City. Nick Furio, was the most responsive Sales person without been overbearing. Dealing with your "every day" used car car salesman was the main reason I was didn't buy from other Acura dealerships (hidden fees, etc....). Beside a very good price, Nick's professionalism was the reason I bought form Curry Acura. At the end of the day I believe that I paid Nick one of the better complements for his line of work. I told him that.... "He did NOT act like a used car salesman....". Another very preasent surprise was the financing part with Yuri Abramov. Even though I told him that the best rate I had at the time was 3.15% for 60 months, he found a 2.99% for me, which is the best I was expecting and had seen advertised elsewhere, but no one has been able ( or wanted) to deliver. I was expecting (like in other places....), to offer me something lower that 3.15, but not go all the way down to 2.99 ..... Always good to be surprised downward. Bottom line. I truly believe that these people are there to sell good cars at good prices and make their money through selling as many as possible, as opposed to nickel and dime the few customers they manage to reel-in.... I haven't experienced their service department yet, but even though there are a few other Acura dealerships closer to where I live, I will try them first. More
i first saw robbie at the acura dealership as it was about to close. he graciously offered to stay past closing time. we returned the next day and we found robbie to be friendly, personable and extreme about to close. he graciously offered to stay past closing time. we returned the next day and we found robbie to be friendly, personable and extremely knowlegeable about the acura product. he carefully listened to my driving needs and we all decide that the tsx would do the trick. he researched what was available, got rid of my existing lease and made our deal. the pickup of the car went smoothly as robbie explained everything you might need to know about my new car. by the way i negotiated a terrific price for my terrific car. this dealership and robbie there a class act. will recommend this dealership to my friends looking to buy an acura. robbie called a few times to make sure things were ok. and to see if we had any questions. good experience More
I'm a long-time Acura driver. To my surprise, I've had to search for months for the model and color I wanted (TL AWD Advance, Graphite), going to a number of dealers in the NY-NJ area. (Acura's had paint an search for months for the model and color I wanted (TL AWD Advance, Graphite), going to a number of dealers in the NY-NJ area. (Acura's had paint and inventory issues because of Japan's tsunami and Thailand's flooding.) I live in Manhattan, and spend a lot of time in NJ, so there were a number of dealers who would have been convenient for me. (I definitely did NOT want to do business with Manhattan Acura, who lied to me regarding service issues.) None of the other dealerships had what I wanted, nor did they seem to have much interest in getting it for me. One wanted to charge me a $100 deposit just to look for the model I wanted! Of all the dealerships I visited, none was as friendly and helpful as Curry. I called their sales manager, Patrick Canavan, who impressed me enough on the phone that I thought it might be worth the drive up to Scarsdale, although he didn't even have the model I wanted when I called. When my wife and I got there, Patrick introduced us to their salesman, George Petkanas. George was just incredibly helpful, friendly, easygoing, and professional. He let my wife and I take a car (right model, wrong color) out ourselves for a test drive, and met our requirements on the numbers for a 36-month lease. As it turned out, the model in the color I wanted was being delivered to the dealership just as we were about to leave, so we came back a couple of days later, and got exactly the car we wanted, The car was delivered on time and in perfect condition. (For example, with no dealer decal, as I requested. A little pet peeve of mine, perhaps, but telling: this was the first time, after about four new car purchases, when I didn't find that the salesman had ignored that request.) My wife and I were really amazed at the difference in the experience we had at Acura with Patrick and George. No only no pressure and no problem, but they actually made the whole experience fun. I mean, we spent at least as much time chatting with these guys as we did talking about the car. I cannot recommend Curry, their salesman, George Petkanas, and their sales manager, Patrick Canavan, highly enough. If you're looking for an Acura, and live anywhere in the area, go to them. You'll be glad you did. More
The whole experience at Curry Acura was exceptional -- from the initial reception to the test drive to the negotiations to the financing and final delivery. He was extremely responsive and did not waste my time with negotiation tactics and games that other dealers often engage in. He has that special combination of genuine friendliness, salesmanship and integrity that is rare in car sales (or any other sales for that matter). I highly recommend working with him. More
I was made to feel very comfortable and was not pressured in any way. Joe helped me numerous times after the sale with my blue tooth until i felt comfortable using it.
