Great dealership and service department! ! My only complaint is that they don’t wash your car like some other dealerships do when your vehicle is in for any type of service. ! My husband and I found a good deal online for an Expedition on the lot at Currie Ford in Valpo. So we drive over an hour to check it out. Listed online at $67K. Sticker on the vehicle said $72K and Expedition on the lot at Currie Ford in Valpo. So we drive over an hour to check it out. Listed online at $67K. Sticker on the vehicle said $72K and our salesman said he hates how they list wrong pricing on the web to lure ppl in but the price was $72K. Of course, it was end of the month so he could help us out yada yada. He seemed new and we aren’t used to buying cars so we figured his confusing write-out of numbers and talking in circles would make sense the further we got in the process. We told him what our max monthly payment would be and asked what our trade was worth and what the cost of the vehicle was and without giving an answer, he said “sign on this paper next to your monthly payment to show my team you are a legitimate buyer and to start negotiations, it is just a paper though and doesn’t mean anything” Next thing I know a bell is ringing and everyone is clapping and cheering bc they announced congrats to us on buying a new Expedition! Well yes, we want the vehicle but still don’t know the price! We continue to get strung along for 5-6 HOURS!! I’m starving, cranky that I’ve missed a whole day of work plus my kid's volleyball game, freezing cold in their AC, and annoyed that this process is taking so long. I then get hustled and pressured to tint my windows (hello, I’m a soccer mom driving an SUV why the xxxx would I want tinted windows?) Had to be rude to that guy to get him to stop selling me xxxx and move this forever process along. We finallllly get called back to finance where again we are underhandedly being sold extended warranty packages for “only $10 more a month” aka, trying to add another $10K to our loan. He talks fast and hands over papers to sign. We are brain dead at this point and completely ready to get the xxxx out of this loooong day and before you know it, we bought the $67/$72K vehicle for $77!! Plus didn’t get what we had asked for our trade in. I get it. It’s our fault for being naive car buyers. But I’ve never felt so icky and taken advantage of in my life. This place is THE DEFINITION of sleazy car salesmen. Do not recommend. More
