I purchased my 2022 Volvo XC90 T8 from Culver City Volvo in December 2021 for more than $80,000. The dealership once provided a premium level of service, but my July 2026 visit was one of the worst experien in December 2021 for more than $80,000. This was my first major service after the warranty expired. Despite my vehicle having very low mileage, I was presented with nearly $4,000 in recommended work, including $2,832 for four tires, $354 for a coolant service, $347 for brake fluid, $199.95 for an alignment and $179 for an oil change. After getting a second opinion, I declined several items that were overpriced or not currently necessary. I still paid approximately $2,286 for three tires and an oil change. I left the vehicle overnight for an extra day so the work would not be rushed. They still failed to refill the washer fluid, did not address the vehicle’s error messages and returned the rims covered in tire-mounting wax or lubricant. They also did not properly wash the exterior because their “spotless rinse” equipment was supposedly broken. The customer-service policies have also declined. They previously offered Lyft transportation both ways within approximately nine miles. They now only provide a one-way ride, leaving the customer to pay to return to the dealership. They also require debit payment or charge a 3% fee for using a credit card, even on expensive service bills. After purchasing an $80,000 vehicle from this dealership and spending another $2,286 on service, I should not have received an unfinished inspection, dirty wheels, no proper wash, reduced transportation support and an added payment surcharge. This felt less like premium vehicle service and more like an attempt to maximize revenue from a customer whose warranty had expired. Management should review the pricing, the incomplete work and the condition in which my vehicle was returned. I cannot currently recommend Culver City Volvo for service. More
