Upon arriving I checked it out and everything looked good. I jump up on the truck to drive off and found HUGE scratches in the roof. They were down to the metal. The scratches had rust in the. I got the shipper to come back and look at the scratches at which time he told me that they had rust and he was not responsible. He was also able to produce me a picture time stamped in Chicago at 8pm 2-3 hours after picking the truck up from the dealership showing the rust in the scratches. I sent my salesmen Brad pictures on the spot. He called me and said that he would talk to his supervisors and get me some answers. After 2 weeks, he asked me to go get an estimate to get the truck fixed. Which I did the next day. For the next 4 months I called or texted him once a week. Every time he assured me that the dealership was going to take care of it. About a month ago he got the sales manager Rob Ace involved. I have a voicemail on my phone from him reassuring me that the dealership was going to take care of it and a check was going out that week. The next week I did not receive anything from them. I called Rob back, he said he was sorry for the delays but the check was going out this week. I still received nothing and no call letting me know what was going on. The salesman and sales manger quit returning my calls the first of October. As my frustration kept rising I called the dealership back and asked to talk to an owner. They transferred me to Scott. He at that time informed me (mid October) that his dealership was not taking responsibility for the problem. He had the shipping paper that stated at vehicle pick up there were no problems and at vehicle delivery there were no problems. I told him I wish I would have known that 4 months ago before wasting all my time. Scott said he wish he would have known about the problem 4 months ago. And hung up the phone on me. I’m the the one that signed the paper. I signed it before finding the scratches but prior to the shipper leaving my location. There are multiple problems here 1-communication between sales, sales manager and general manager (I do not know but I don’t think the general manager was made aware of the problem until just recently) 2-all around customer service (don’t tell a customer that you are going to do something and not follow thru) (sales became so busy with “new” customers he could not return my phone calls) 3-I am stuck with a “new” damaged truck. I sought some advise from my attorney and he informed me that I would have to go to IL to take action on this. I do not have time to do that for $1200. It would cost me more in time and trips so he told me to just write some honest reviews and that’s what I am going to do. I would NEVER purchase another vehicle from this dealership because of the communication and integrity they have. I took the time to file a complaint with Ram on this matter as well. I was trying to find someone that could hold this dealership and these people accountable. They hung me out to dry because I live 11 hours away, not fair but it’s life. I’ll fix the truck myself and go on. I just wanted to take the time to share the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE I have ever had! More

Not only did I have to chase down the service department, there was zero communication about what, when, and how! I finally got it in, not including the first time and no one had a clue why I was there! They had it for about 2 days went to pick it up, the radio is scratched on the screen my dash is scrated all by the glove box and the window DIDN'T WORK!! I missed a day of work for this and I got nothing but attitude! I regret so much purchasing a vehicle from Crystal lake Chrysler Jeep and Dodge More
Rude - Plenty of other dealers to go to! I didn't need financing and just needed to find the Wrangler I wanted. Worked with a nice salesman, Mark, to find the vehicle and get it to Crystal Lake, no problems there. Then Jack Irwin got involved somehow - what a rude old man!!! I was in between shifts and he PROMISED me the vehicle would be ready to go and I would be out in 30 minutes. Yeah right. An hour later he told me I should have gotten there earlier! I walked out. Time to retire if that's how you're going to treat customers. If it wasn't for Mark, there would have been no deal. More
The Best! We were looking for a Challenger and decided to stop in here bc we left a different dealer bc of a bad experience. It was one of the best decision We were looking for a Challenger and decided to stop in here bc we left a different dealer bc of a bad experience. It was one of the best decision we made! We sat down with Mark Kropp at first, he located the vehicle, went over the prices and gave us all the discounts right away. He had our vehicle appraised we negotiated a deal was made! We also sat down with Jack Irvin went over more minor details and the vehicle was on the way. The following day they called us and told us the vehicle was in. We went back looked over the vehicle, approved it and moved on to financing. That went smoothly and quickly, we went over a few additional amenities and decided on those later. The complete process was smooth and honest! Great work to everyone that was involved! Mark & Tracy More

I will never, EVER buy a Chrysler, Dodge or Jeep again. The best thing I can say about the people at Crystal Lake Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Illinois is that they are slimy, duplicitous, manipulative xxxx. It The best thing I can say about the people at Crystal Lake Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Illinois is that they are slimy, duplicitous, manipulative xxxx. It was like the undercoating scene from “Fargo”. I went in there to buy a Jeep Cherokee for my niece. The finance manager was a complete b*xxx, employing strong-arm tactics to get us to buy useless add-ons. Through a bit of sleight of hand, the salesman misled us on the number of months for our payments, which actually increased our total price. We didn’t recognize the error until we were so deep into the buying process that we didn’t want to turn back. The salesman and finance manager carefully calculated this ruse. They knew my niece was in love with the car, and that it was unlikely that I would break her heart at that stage of the game. I left this dealership feeling like I was covered with the thin film of mucous and nauseated by their tactics. Anyone else who gives this dealership a positive review either is a relative, and employee, or a customer who doesn’t realize that they were taken. More
Run far far away from this unethical, rude dealership and the used car manager Tom! This dealer either does not inspect their used cars at all, or their service department is unable to do the inspection cor the used car manager Tom! This dealer either does not inspect their used cars at all, or their service department is unable to do the inspection correctly. Even worse, they have absolutely the worst customer service I have seen in years! My family bought a used 2008 Buick Rendezvous two months ago from them, and have had nothing but problems. We bought the car after an decent experience with the salesman, and just before we drove off the lot I noticed they did not give us an extra key. They said that they would get one for us, and call me later that week. Well, after two weeks with no calls we called them and they said we were out of luck. They were all of a sudden not OK with making us a second key like they promised. There were no apologies and we were rudely told that they could not get the prior owner to hand in their second set. And they refused to make us a new key, which was the first sign that we were not dealing with professionals that will say anything to make a sale. Knowing how cheap a key is for a dealer to make and how they refused, I started to get really worried about the car in the my driveway. Two weeks after buying the car, we took it in as we noticed that the shifting was not right. The car ended up having 6 major issues with it (Transmission repair, Power Steering leak, Two tie rods & an alignment, & the rear door latch was broken). We were gutted and got a second opinion, which came back with the same repairs. Both repair shops we brought the car to were disgusted that the dealer sold us a car in this condition. They confirmed that if they had completed an inspection they would have noticed these problems. We were able to get some repairs done under warranty, but we contacted the dealer letting them know about the repairs that were not covered. The sales manager Tom’s reply was, “So…what do you want me to do about it?” I was floored when I witnessed first-hand how rude Tom was when a customer calls and wants to calmly discuss a problem. There was no empathy and certainly no apology from Tom. If Tom had any pride in his dealership, he would want to confront an issue head on and at the very least apologize. But he doesn’t, so you will get attitude and rude comments. Bottom line. If you want to buy a car that needs multiple repairs, go to this dealer. If you want the manager to be rude and condescending, go to this dealer. IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE A HUMAN BEING AND BUY A CAR THAT HAS ACTUALLY BEEN INSPECTED, RUN FAR FAR AWAYS FROM THIS SHADY RUDE DEALERSHIP!!!!!!!!! Let my mistake be a lesson for others, do NOT even walk on to this dealer’s lot. More
DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM JACK IRWIN OR ROBERT MURPHY. These two are the epitome of dishonest used car salesman. If I could, I would rate this dealership as a ZERO. I purchased a car online from t MURPHY. These two are the epitome of dishonest used car salesman. If I could, I would rate this dealership as a ZERO. I purchased a car online from them, sight unseen. They have 15 pictures on the internet and it looked great for a price I was looking for. I had Mr. Irwin do a complete inspection, walk around the car, check the engine, heat/AC, electronics, etc. for me since I was an out-of-state buyer. He assured me that the car was in excellent condition with light scratches on the bumper, but nothing else. He also confirmed that the car had a sunroof, new tires, had been freshly detailed, and the engine was as clean as could be, not a drop of anything leaking. He was also very clear that the car was a non-smoker car. I went ahead and trusted his opinion, purchased the car, and had it shipped to me. When it arrived, the car was absolutely filthy. I picked it up at night, so I believed as was well. On the drive home, I noticed there was not a moonroof, and that there was a heavy SMOKER smell to the car. Those were must-haves for me, and I immediately emailed Mr. Irwin and informed him of my disappointment. He didn't email back for a couple of days. Meanwhile, the next day in the daylight, I discovered a large oil leak, a cracked front bumper, a multiple rust bubbles on the roof of the car. Mr. Irwin had now told several lies-he said the car was in excellent condition (cracked bumper and rust), he said it has a moonroof (none), and he said the engine was in excellent condition (large oil leak). When Mr. Irwin finally emailed back, he said they would do nothing and said I should expect such defects with a used car. I didn't expect a brand new vehicle-but I did expect the features and description that he gave. I called Mr. Murphy (sales manager) to inform him of my dissatisfaction. He laughed over the phone when I said I wanted them to address the problems. The problem for them is that I hadn't signed the bill of sale, so since they wouldn't do anything to fix their lies, I told them I would be returning the car. Immediately Mr. Murphy offered to do something when he found out that they were still liable for the car. He offered a whopping $200 to fix over $1,000 worth of repairs. Not worth it. Then the manager, Mr. Rosenberg, told me to return his F***ing car. Very professional. I returned the car to them, and it got back to them within 2 days (they were extremely rude, not to mention it cost me over $600 in shipping back and forth that I had to pay for because of their deceit). When I called Mr. Murphy to inquire about when I would receive a refund, he hung up on me and would not answer my calls. Finally, 3 weeks after returning the car, I finally received a full refund. This dealership is unreal. By far the most sleazy, untrustworthy, deceitful individuals I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Robert Murphy and Jack Irwin-be upfront and we would have completely avoided this unpleasant experience. Shop here at your own risk, but there are many other dealerships who are willing to deal ethically with you and be upfront in the first place. More
DO NOT USE THIS DEALERSHIP!!! BEWARE of snakes, dogs, wolves, and vampires!!! All they want to do is suck your blood, drain your bank account, and sell you premium, A-1 CRAP! After 12,000 miles standar wolves, and vampires!!! All they want to do is suck your blood, drain your bank account, and sell you premium, A-1 CRAP! After 12,000 miles standard driving on local roads with a brand new pick-up truck, they insisted I needed to replace my brakes and rotors. Because the truck was right at the 12,000 mile mark, they weren't covered under the warranty. THIEVES - THEY ARE ALL THIEVES. Just because I'm a woman doesn't mean I'm stupid. If you have to replace the rotors and brakes after 12,000 miles then your product SUCKS and no one should buy Chrysler products EVER! More
