I have had my car in the shop in & out at least 4 or 5 different times within 1 1/2 years. 1st time 6/15/23 for a new timing chain ($864.80). 2nd time (6/30/23) within 600 miles for leaking oil & noisy, different times within 1 1/2 years. 1st time 6/15/23 for a new timing chain ($864.80). 2nd time (6/30/23) within 600 miles for leaking oil & noisy, misfiring, out of time, loud engine noises. I was told it had NOTHING to do with the timing chain! (another machanic said that the timing belt set wrong what would cause this type of problem). $2137.83 bill to fix problem. Still oil leaking - We were told it's the head needing replacement AGAIN. Replaced during the last repairs! We were told that the head was back ordered since Chevy doesn't make any more. They would have to get a refurbished one. One year later, 11/22/24 (and still leaking oil) I was told this time it was a leaking gasket (one they said they didn't touch or replace) And it needed a water pump & oil pump. Turned out to be another $1977.48 to fix. The car is STILL leaking oil. We were call that our backorder parts were in. (that we were told was a head) What came in were cramshafts. They said we were NEVER told it needed a new head. but cramshafts. These were replaced at no charge. STILL leaking oil!! Next they told us it was the head leaking but the replacement head done back in 2023, the warranty was NOW EXPIRED! We would have to pay for another one!!! They still claim they said they were waiting a the camshafts not another head. Every time we went in to check if the head had come in, we were told that the HEAD had not come in yet. I must have stopped in about every 2-3 weeks for an update. Nate Wright was the Service adviser for the 1st two services listed. Mason Conrad was for the 2nd two. More
