I no longer hate dealerships! My truck is old. I will never sell my '02 XTerra, even though she has some rust and dents, and when things break, I don't want to hear every elaborat My truck is old. I just want to turn the key and hear the engine work. Simple enough. Last week when my truck just stopped working while I was driving, I pulled off the road and was 'conveniently' by Andy's Auto Repair on 28th St N in St Pete. I had my truck towed over there, and a guy told me my transmission was bad, and it would be about a week and a half and he'd do it for $1,500, which he ensured me was a really good deal. I didn't have a good feeling about this place, so I called the closest Nissan Dealership (Crown) just to ask if that seemed like a decent cost for a transmission for my make and model. I was speaking to Justin Laurence, and he somehow convinced me to get ANOTHER tow truck to take my truck over to Crown, as he really felt that from what I was saying, it wasn't my transmission at all. Long story short - It was my timing belt, and my transmission was fine. I got out of there for just over $600 and had my car back within 24 hours. It's running great, and Justin (the red-head... you can't miss him! :) ) definitely made a loyal customer out of me. I'm very thankful that Crown actually SAVED me a few hundred bucks. Thanks Justin! Thank you Christine and John! Whether I need an oil change or some other form of service, I go only to see Christine and John at Crown Nissan. TRUST is huge and that is one of the many reasons that I choose them to take care of my Maxima. Both go above and beyond to take care of my vehicle. Although I go for service, I receive so much more. Christine and John are more like great friends. They even find ways to make bad news seem not so bad. If they are not scheduled to work, I delay my service until they are there. I told the team today that I am kind of stuck in the Nissan world because I cannot own a vehicle that Christine and John are unable to service. They ARE Crown Nissan to me. I highly recommend them to everyone I know. I thank them both for ALWAYS being there to me. More
