Apparently my 2001 Dodge Dakota had a unique electrical problem that would come and go. I received a call from Jason Sharp the day after dropping it off and he walked me through the issues. This started my experience off on the right foot because years ago I had engine trouble and had to bring it to this dealership for repair when other mechanics could not fix it. It was a horrible, expensive experience and I vowed never to come back unless I absolutely had to (I will spare the details). Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised up to this point but then came the price. "Unfortunately these are special order parts" Jason said. The total was going to be around $1500.00. When it was ready, I received a phone call from Jason and he advised that he miss quoted me on the price-- I quickly began looking for a place to sit down. When I arrived back to the dealership, John Modean got my paperwork and walked me through everything that had been done. I had a number of questions for him regarding this vehicle and others that I was considering buying. He was extremely helpful and acted as if I was the most important person in the room. I know that must have been stressful because of how busy the service department was. The only negative things that I could say was that (1) it took a week to fix (Monday to Monday) and (2) I had to call several times to get updates (it would have been nice to get a call with updates so I wouldn't have had to call on a daily basis). David has taken care of me beyond measure. He makes sure the job gets done, and is to my satisfaction. I feel like family whenever I come to Crown. In fact, I was there today ( 02/27/2014) to purchase a part for my 2008 Liberty that Reginald Harris sold to me, and the receptionist ( I can't remember her name) was asking how my husband is and how I am coping with his deployment. I met David Wilson when I took my Jeep in to have the transmission looked at. When he told me what it would cost to fix it, I told him I didn't have the money to fix it. He asked me what I could pay and I gave him an amount. He told me he would see what he could do about the price. He called me and told me he wanted to fix my Jeep and not let me drive it and take a chance on further damaging my transmission. He was very understanding when I told I could only pay so much. He was very kind and offered to do what he could. I got the impression he had been in my shoes before and knew what I was going through. When I went to pick up my Jeep and he showed me what it would cost I was very grateful because it was a huge difference in the original price. I was brought to tears by the generosity and kindness of David. I truly believe there are some good people in the world and David Wilson is one of them. He told me that if I ever needed to come in again to let him know. When I dropped it off I had to wait for a while for my ride to come get me. He saw me sitting in the waiting area and came and checked on me to make sure I had somebody that was coming to get me. I thought that was very nice and kind of him to that. David Wilson is a very kind and courteous person. In my church when something like this happens we call it a God Sighting. More
