I have used Crown GMC service and specifically with Harry Ossenberg for over 6 years now and never been dissappointed with there service. I made appt with Chris to test drive car , I drove an hour from Tampa and he was not there .Carrie said he would be 20 min late,I waited an hour he never showed up. Jim Jones let me test drive car but co hour from Tampa and he was not there .Carrie said he would be 20 min late,I waited an hour he never showed up. Jim Jones let me test drive car but couldnt go with me so I got lost, I wanted to buy car it was priced 26,500 , when car written up by carrie it was changed to 28,500 I was upset at this point because I waited an hour, then they switch the price on me , Jim took the sticker price off the car and acted surprised that the car was priced higher, then I ask to go lower and Jim says thats the lowest price, I walked out , this is not the way to treat a customer. How rude, they kept saying we will take good care of you, sorry to make you wait, etc etc, and then they play games with the price. I will tell all my friends to stay far away from this dealership, its not the right way to do business. THe salesman doesnt show up for appt, the manager jacks up the price of the car and the salesman they throw me with at the last minute conveniently forgets he SAW the price or took the sticker off the car. This was the most comfortable car dealership experience we've ever had. No pressure and everyone was very friendly and courteous. I have purchased about 30 vehicles, new and used, over the past 15 years for friends and family members who don't like to set foot in a car dealership. They need not have worried if they visited Crown Buick GMC and dealt with people like Matt Williams, the salesman I worked with at Crown. Matt was courteous,helpful and very customer focused ... and I never got the idea that he was selling me anything. He did everything he said that he would, and continually followed up to answer questions that I had. He also patiently explained how to operate the car I was interested in (some of the knobs and buttons were confusing). I also worked with two managers, Carrie Pennington and Al (don't know last name), who were very helpful. Even the negotiation was congenial and not adversarial. I wound up purchasing a 2010 Honda Civic in mint condition with 3,600 miles for my sister in Kentucky ... at an excellent price. The fact that I was purchasing a car in Florida for someone in Kentucky could have made things a lot more difficult, but Crown Buick GMC handled sending the paperwork to her to sign (and title/tag transfer) and got it back quickly. Everything went smoothly. Matt Williams and this dealership know what they're doing, and they made this easy. This should be the way all cars are sold. More
Harry Ossenberg's professionalism and customer service skills should be a benchmark for all employees. This is a definite plus.... I followed Harry from Scott and I appreciate his honestly, helpfulness and knowledge. Harry always describes the services recommended along with charges I can expect. I never feel pressured but I always feel well informed by Harry which enables me to make decissions. I trust him and never question the information he provides. Again, I want to express that Harry is an exceptional representative of your company. If I know of anyone needing services I would highly recommend your dealership and would alway tell them to request Harry Ossenberg as their service advisor. Carol G. More
I bought a new Buick Enclave from Dan in June. I am very busy, pregnant and two small children. I told Dan I did not like to spend a lot of time in the dealership buying a vehicle. He had me do an online credit application and then stop by to look at the model I wanted and brought in my trade. We took a test drive and he appraised my trade. Total time at the dealership was a half hour. Dan brought in the model I wanted from another dealer. I came in on Saturday to sign some preliminary paperwork which took five minutes as Dan had it all ready. I then took my husband and two children to lunch and a movie. After the movie, we came back to Crown,met with Jim Zabel the business manager, and we were out in less than a half hour. Total time spent at the dealership was about an hour and a half. I told Dan it was the best sales experience I ever had. More
I leases a Buick Regal here on Thursday 5/31/12. All of the prep work was done over the phone and then the papers were signed that night, for a 24 month lease and I drove away with my new car. On Friday 06/01/12 I received a call from Tony Clouse my salesperson stating that the numbers were incorrect and that I would need to switch to a 39 month lease to keep the same payment. Tony blamed Honda for giving him the incorrect payoff amount, which they didn't. Carrie Pennington messed up the deal by incorrectly figuring the lease payoff on my old car. I was told, by Tony, that the dealership was not going to lose money on the deal and they had the right to payoff Honda only the amount that they thought it was and Honda would bill me the difference. He wanted me to sign a longer lease for more money. I ended up taking the car back just because they had the audacity to call and make threats towards me. They wrote the deal and did not have a leg to stand on but they will not get a dime of my money. I am sure they would have taken the car back if I had found it the next day for $5000.00 less at another dealer. Carrie Pennington, who was my best friend the night I was leasing the car, did not even have the decency to apoligize or look at me. Tony could not wait to get me out of there. These people are the reason car dealers get a bad name. I will stay with Hondaland and Brandon Honda. I strongly recommend never dealing with these people. Carrie Pennington is by far the least professional person I have ever dealt with. BG. More
Will never buy a car from anywhere else and they love the military!!!! This dealership is by far the best in the area! We are a military family and let me tell you... They love the military! When buying our second car a few months later we went to other dealerships simply because I was not sure what kind of vehicle I wanted. The Crown GMC dealership is a little far from where we live so we went to the closer Dick Norris dealer to look at Terrains and got NO service, literally no service in the fact that nobody was willing to help us until we were getting in our car to leave. We too the long drive straight down to Crown GMC and right away I knew it was worth the drive. We bought our previous car from Carrie (a manager), but she wasn’t in the office so I hesitated to deal with someone else because I am a total pain when it comes to buying cars, but Tony was great! He was knowledgeable about the vehicles and anything he didn’t know he was quick to find out. As I said before I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted so we were there well past closing time for me to look at all my options and not once did they complain! That night after having test driven the Chevy Equinox, Ford Escape and Ford Edge, I went home with my baby which is a 2012 Terrain SLT-2. There were some options that I got that I didn’t think I would use, but after having to drive a different Terrain for a little bit, I couldn’t imagine having anything less on my car. Crown GMC most certainly took the time to listen to me and take into consideration my lifestyle and what would be best for our family. More
