Difficult experience; customer service needs improvement. I bought a Cerdified pre-owned 2015 Jeep GC. My sales person, Hunter, was a pleasure to work with and he did everything he could to make sure I was ha I bought a Cerdified pre-owned 2015 Jeep GC. My sales person, Hunter, was a pleasure to work with and he did everything he could to make sure I was happy. I can’t say the same for his managers and some of the other staff at Cross though. They were basically not willing to make small compromises I requested during the negotiation process. My biggest complaint is that although my vehicle was “Cerdified”, on my first highway trip (the same day) I realized it was badly out of alignment. I live out of town and although I was told they would make it right, they told me they are backed up for two weeks on alignments and I would also need to drive it back for them to check it first. If it did need an alignment (which I already knew it did) then I would need to return again two weeks later (I live an hour away)! They should have made it a priority and corrected that problem immediately. I ended up having to pay for an alignment, balance and rotation myself in Lexington 🤬. Secondly, the morning after I purchased I noticed one of the rocker panels had significant damage. The previous owner had clearly run the side of the Jeep up on something. All the retaining clips were broken off and it was very loose. This was never disclosed to me. How does a vehicle this nice make it through the Certification process without this being either fixed or at least disclosed? They were very hesitant to offer any help fixing this issue. Instead, my integrity was questioned when a manager suggested that maybe I created the damage myself on my first night owning the vehicle 😡. We did end up finding a compromise on this issue however. I paid for the replacement panel and they covered painting and installing it. I had a good experience with Greg, the service manager. When I was paying, I again encountered a very rude Cross employee. The girl taking payment was very short with me and said things like, “are you serious?” 🤬 when I requested using a credit that was owed to me by the dealership. Fortunately I was told that it was her last day anyway. All said and done, the positives from Hunter and Greg were enough to outweigh the negatives from the other Cross employees. At this point I feel satisfied but not pleased. While I would refer a friend to Hunter or Greg, I would not refer anyone in general to Cross. They need to reconsider the basics of customer service and start putting the customer first! More
