Before going to Fiat and working with Rod, there was no way in the WORLD I was going to buy a new car. Rod was wonderfully helpful, explained everything, and really helped me come to the best decision I could have made...and new Fiat! I also appreciated him for selling the car to me, not my boyfriend. We went to other dealerships where they would focus their selling on my boyfriend even after being told repeatedly that I was the one buying the car. I purchased a Jeep Commander warranty for an extra 2000 when I bought the car at Carmax about 8 months ago It started having problems and Criswell assured me that they will take care of it. I dropped it off and my service person Marcus Dominguez assured me that they will take care of all. I picked it up on Friday after two month !!!! or 59 days of "repair" It was recommended by Marcus that additional things should be fixed totaling another $ 1800 I said I would bring it up with my own mechanic to which he responded he could do it for $ 700 I declined, obviously. The work performed seems unsatifactory, since on the way home the car jumps unvoluntarily and the AC stopped working on the way home. I left a message and we shall see what happens.... In addition, after I was assured by Criswell that the rental would be covered, it turns out that it is not the case and they will charge me 52 days for the car rental. I am planning on taking the case to court. In addition the Service manager Bob Wisman told me that mine was one of five cars that he has in the shop that "blew up", after being purchased by Carmax and that Carmax is under review by the State of Maryland. I spend 20 000 on this car at Carmax. Criswell dragged their feet, excuses for snow days and mechanics not showing up etc. etc... Never heard of a repair taking two months!! Needless to say, I think it is a place to be avoided at all cost and I will fight hard More

I was contacted by Criswell Fiat in response to the application form I filled out with Costco Auto Buying program. Apparently Criswell is a Costco approved dealer that services DC area. Costco promised a clear and up-front pricing that is a win win for all parties. Shortly after I have submitted my application I got an email from Arnold Garcia , who I suppose is a Costco liaison at Criswell. He gave me a quote in that first email that immediately sold me on benefits of Costco Auto Program and their relationship with Criswell Fiat. Prior to filling out Costco application I visited Fiat of Alexandria, and while I was impressed with their sales people and their demeanor, I felt that I will have hard time getting a good deal on Fiat there. The price quote from Arnold was at the level I did not even think I could have possibly achieved even after hours of haggling (at least based on my prior car buying experiences). Visit to Criswell went very smooth, and even though I came in very late, almost around their closing time, no one made me feel rushed or pressed to to buy a vehicle. Arnold is just super friendly guy and very eager to answer all of your questions and explain anything that might need to be explained. His sales manager Giles was very patient and willing to explain to me differences between leasing and taking out a loan and all sorts of different terms of those transactions and how they would affect my bottom line and what approach would be more financially advantageous to me. Overall - great team of professionals delivering great service to their customers. I truly hope that my positive experience is not unique and that the dealership will maintain its high level of service. More
