They were very fair and apologetic in reaching out to me and rectifying the situation with me. I am pleased and wanted to thank them and appreciate it! _________________________________________________________________________ I originally bought my car into Criswell to get an oil change on August 4, 2016. There was nothing wrong with my car before I bought it into the dealership. The car is in near mint condition, garage kept, and hardly driven. When Criswell looked at my car, they started recommending a couple of things that needed repair. They informed me that I had a power steering hose that needed repair and a transmission leak. For the transmission leak to be repair they informed me that they needed to take the entire transmission out of my car which would be a 12-hour labor job, with parts and labor it would cost me 1853.81 + tax. Therefore, I took their recommendation and had them fix my power steering and transmission leak and also had them change my oil. The total bill was $2455.65. They also recommended I change my tires but I declined at the time. My car was picked up on August 11, 2016. Since I hardly drive the car, I started driving it a few weeks later and started noticing an intermittent grinding, rubbing sound coming from the transmission when I drove the car. Therefore, I took the car back to the dealership for them to take a look at the noise that was coming from my transmission and also for them to change my tires and get a front end alignment on Oct 14, 2016. They took a look at the car and informed me that they did not hear a sound from the car. Therefore, I went to the dealership to pick up the car on Oct 18, 2016 and started driving it off their lot when the sound started happening again when I pulled out of the dealership. I promptly bought it back and complained. They had the mechanic ride with me in the car to diagnose the sound and he admitted that there was a sound coming from the transmission area of the car. However, for them to fully diagnose the grinding sound coming from the transmission, they had to charge me over $1500 dollars in labor again to pull the transmission out of the car to see what was wrong with it. Otherwise the Customer Service Representative told me that I can continue to drive the car until the sound gets worse. In any event, I would have to pay to get the transmission taken out a second time for an issue they caused. So now they are trying to double charge me for labor to fix an issue that they caused since the sound was never there when I originally bought the car in. I do not think it's fair for me to pay for labor again for them to find out and fix an issue that they caused. They should own up to their work and warranty their repairs instead of charging me again for labor just to diagnose the issue. My car had no issues when I bought it in and now after they serviced it, it has a grinding noise that is potentially damaging my car every time it's driven. More
horrible service Unless you'd like to wait two hours for an oil change and front end alignment I would avoid this place. They charged $140 for a front end alignment too... that's a rip off in my world! On top of the two hours, it took them a half hour to wash my car which I don't have a problem with if it is done correctly... which it wasn't. It looks horrible. It's like they wiped down the inside of my windows with wax...so now I have to clean them. Being a repeat buyer and customer I am very unimpressed by this service and I will not be going back. More

RUN FAR AWAY FROM THE BODY SHOP AND SERVICE DEPARTMENT... Michael L Lea January 6 at 2:27pm · what is lower than 1 star..0 stars. -10 stars. well that is what i would rate the entire criswell dealership Michael L Lea January 6 at 2:27pm · what is lower than 1 star..0 stars. -10 stars. well that is what i would rate the entire criswell dealership the lowest of the low. if you have a problem at the dealership there is nobody there to help you and nobody to hold accountable. the general manager/president kevin szot will never answer a phone call or email. a person would think if a dealership was paid almost $14,000 to repair a car and almost 90 days to complete the repair it would be perfect right?????? well not even close. my vehicle has been back in their repair shop 6 different times to fix substandard work. the technicians at jeep cannot diagnosis jeep issues. i would never ever take a car to the body shop there and i would never purchase a car there. please take my advice and the advice of several other dissatisfied customers who were there with me and go to the other Chevrolet and jeep dealerships in rockville. darcars customer service is superb and the upper management actually will return calls, emails or come out and speak with a customer when there is a problem and work to resolve it. criswell does care about the little man, criswell cares about the big corporate accounts and the customers that fit a certain "mold" and certain "type". they do not cater to minorities and they do not respect our $$$$$.... i will spend my money elsewhere. criswell has ruined my vehicle and refuses to fix it. they are systematically ruining my life also. $14,000 later and an unsafe car. thank you criswell and Kevin szot..see you in court you know where to reach me.. mr LEA More

The car overall is a good car with a few issues here or there but every time we call we for what ever reason get Mo and constantly get hung up on. He is very rude! One time we called in to follow up on our car and he provided us with the fee we needed to pay if we wanted it fixed, we where going on vacation and couldn't pay that to get it fixed so we told him we will bring it at a later date to have it taken care of. . his response? "well why do you have extended warranty if you don't use it? I can remove it if you want since you don't want to use it" WAIT WHAT?!?!?! I was livid! I cannot believe those words came out of a service tech. . . He is the sole reason we purchased or 2015 Chevy Silverado from another dealer. . . an easy $60K sake they could have had but I refuse to deal with their service techs again with any other car. . . It truly is a shame because the sale experience was amazing (of course they want your money) but once the car is purchased is all downhill from there. . . More

Excessive charges to replace tire, rim and tpms I had my Volt towed to Criswell to replace a damaged tire, rim and tpms. Criswell provided an estimate of over $800. Their estimated cost for the rim I had my Volt towed to Criswell to replace a damaged tire, rim and tpms. Criswell provided an estimate of over $800. Their estimated cost for the rim and tpms hardware was over $500. I obtained both items online for under $200. I provided both parts to Criswell. I then paid close to $300 for a new tire and labor. While the charge of about $140 on the tire was reasonable, the labor charge was well outside the labor estimates I obtained from nearby Chevrolet dealers and tire centers. I elected to have Criswell complete the job because, as the Criswell staff correctly pointed out to me, the $100 cost I would have had to pay to tow the vehicle to a new location all but eliminated any savings. Based on this experience -- which I attribute solely to Criswell management -- I will not use Criswell service ever again. More
