No matter hard the service department worked on it, the problem would not go away. After many months of visits to the dealer, the issue always returned. Matt Davis devoted much time and effort on my behalf. He was later joined by Doug Botten in working towards a solution. These two employees deserve much recognition as they represented the Crews dealership and Subaru Motors in a most persistent and professional manner. Together with the Service Dept. manager, Jason Parish, the decision was made to replace the engine short block with a new one, even though my warranty had expired! Over my years with this car, I have recommended Subaru to several friends, some of whom purchased Subarus of their own. My faith in the product and the service, I believe, is fully justified! I asked someone in service about wanting to see what my car would be worth on a trade in. Well that started it. Nina Milroth brought up two Subarus and was lovely. Pam Baker stepped in also and got someone to handle things as far as the price of the trade in on my car. Pam is wonderful. I told Pam in the parking lot that since i have owned a Subaru i would never buy anything else. It's the "best car" and that's what i tell everyone. Hats off to Nina and Pam for all their help! Words of praise for Crews Subaru of Charleston I am writing this review to let folks know how pleased I am with my service at Crews Subaru of Charleston. This is, by far, the very best car dealersh I am writing this review to let folks know how pleased I am with my service at Crews Subaru of Charleston. This is, by far, the very best car dealership I have ever been to. Their customer service is above & beyond the best. Jason & Matt are especially to be commended for their service. They are always always courteous, efficient, extremely professional & caring of their customers. I came to Charleston almost 4 years ago, after driving from Arizona with my 2004 Outback. When it was time to purchase a new car, I did not go to any other dealer but Crews, due to the type of service I continually receive. Others I have spoken to, while waiting for my car to be serviced, feel the same way. I will always continue to service my wonderful 2014 Outback Subaru at Crews; mostly because of the service I receive from Jason & Matt. I can't remember my salesman for my 2014, but think it was Scott, who was also awesome. More
Poor Service Crews Subaru had our outback for over a week making a repair. We felt we were left out of the loop in terms of communication. To get any updates on th Crews Subaru had our outback for over a week making a repair. We felt we were left out of the loop in terms of communication. To get any updates on the process of the initial repair, we had to reach out ourselves. Some of the staff we spoke with were unable to give us updates or cost estimates. We were never offered a loaner type car. None of the necessary parts were in stock at the dealership which added time to the repair. Once we finally had it home, our vehicle wouldn't start less than 2 hours later. We paid to have it towed back to the Dealership. They replaced the battery. When we arrived to pick up the vehicle - a 45 minute drive from our home - the car still wouldn't start. Because they didn't have the necessary parts in stock, once again we had to leave our car there for additional repairs. The service staff were condescending in their communication with us. And while admittedly our initial repair was quite complicated (the main break line had rusted through and cracked) it is highly ironic that the very same day we brought the car home it suddenly had problems with the battery and starter. I am not implying that they caused this issue, rather, I find it odd that they wouldn't catch this issue during their full vehicle diagnostic testing before sending it home with us. Only then did the manager agree to send us home with a loaner, which we appreciated. He also did take off some of the labor fees. However, this was only done after expressing our frustration with the entire process and the lack of communication with the service staff. Because Crews is the only Subaru Dealership within 2 hours of our house, we had no other option once our normal mechanic explained that he couldn't make the repair himself and that it would need to be done at a dealership. This is the one and only time we've ever dealt with Crews Dealership and while they have several positive reviews online, our experience was not the best. If we can avoid Crews in the future, we most certainly will. At this time we still do not have our vehicle, but once we do, I'm hoping we will be able to update this review and that all the issues will be resolved. More

Brought our Impreza in for an oil change and left in a 2017 On our visit to the service center we went into the show room and fell in love with the Outback. Ralph Hunt introduced himself and showed us beautiful On our visit to the service center we went into the show room and fell in love with the Outback. Ralph Hunt introduced himself and showed us beautiful car answered our questions and took us for a test drive. He was very down to earth and helpful. He gave us a great offer on our Impreza and we decided it was time. We drove our new Outback out of the show room. What an awesome experience More
Went in with tire losing air - left with tire losing air I took my 2016 Subaru WRX into Crews Subaru December 30. I was loosing air in two of my four tires. They took my car back quickly (I was the first app I took my 2016 Subaru WRX into Crews Subaru December 30. I was loosing air in two of my four tires. They took my car back quickly (I was the first appointment of the day). After looking at the car they told me I needed a new tire because the nail was to close to the sidewall to patch. I said ok and gave them the go ahead to order the new tire for me car. The service center guy said the new tire would arrive around 10 AM the next day and they would call me immediately to come in the next day and have the tire replaced. The day comes and no phone call. I call around 3PM to give them time and ask what the status is of the tire. One of the service counter employees told me that the guy handling my car would call me back immediately and that he left a note on his desk. It is now January 20th, over 3 weeks later and no call. This dealership is a complete joke. After two weeks and no call I took my car to another tire center who found that TWO of my tires were damaged and NEITHER of them needed to be replaced. I ended up purchasing 4 new all season tires anyways because we were moving north and I had summer tires. Crews Subaru is the worst dealer and service center I have ever dealt with, and I recommend anyone considering their services to look elsewhere. More
Excellent customer service!! We were due for our first oil change with our Subaru and I called first thing in the morning and spoke to Matt in the service department. He said that he would be expecting me when i arrived and he would drive me to work so they could service the car. When I arrived I didn't have to wait at all for Matt to take me and about 45 minutes later Matt called to say the car service was completed. Matt told me that he would have another gentleman follow him to my work so they could bring the car to me instead of me having to get a ride back to the dealership to pick it up. When Matt arrived with our car he told me that they changed the oil and did a tire rotation which was part of the service and they even ran it through the car was for us!! That was an excellent surprise and it was greatly appreciated!! You don't find many companies or service departments that go the extra mile for the customer just because. Subaru of Charleston has some of the best customer service we have ever experienced. We recommend them to everyone we know!! More
