I took my 540iT in to: 1) check the oil quality due to the previous radiator problem, 2) Replace the windshield weatherstripping, 3) replace a cracking engine belt, 4) check a PDC sensor. All these wer the previous radiator problem, 2) Replace the windshield weatherstripping, 3) replace a cracking engine belt, 4) check a PDC sensor. All these were done on time and I went to pick up the car friday night at 6:30pm. The car had already been brought to the front, and having key in-hand I told my family to proceed to dinner and I'd meet them there. Then the problems started... Immediately upon starting the car I got a transmission failure warning. The car was taken back to the shop for diagnosis. While waiting, I discovered in the paperwork that the techs checked the oil LEVEL and not it's QUALITY as I had specifically asked. After waiting a while I walked back into the shop (being agitated at being late for dinner, the last with my wife for the long weekend due to a conference in San Diego). The tech stated that the battery had been low, they charged it a bit, and it should be further charged by driving. He did not explain WHY the battery was low. FYI: We have had NO previous problems with the battery or charging system. Anyway, now very late for dinner I set off, only to discover my gas tank was nearly empty, the computer stating that I had a range of 19 miles. How much idling did my car do at Crevier??? Did they joyride in it??? My paperwork does not show the odometer reading when it was dropped off. Luckily I had enough gas to get to dinner, but everyone else had already eaten and were about to leave in order to get to San Diego on time. Also, I noticed that both the rear windows had been left down a crack (not enough to see easily). Luckily I discovered this before the rain hit on Saturday. Why had they been lowered??? p.s. That's now seven times in a row that Crevier has done something bad to one of my cars during service. SEVEN! p.p.s. The PDC had been "chewed on" and was thusly not elligable for warranty repair. I was quoted at least $260 (two hours labor) to pop it out and solder the wires together. I think this is rediculous, as it should only take about a 1/2 hour, hence my "1" rating for pricing. More
I ran my mini-cooper through water during the rainy season this winter, and ended up having $8500 in damage (water got into the pistons and bent the pistonshaft, and made a hole in the engine block. I season this winter, and ended up having $8500 in damage (water got into the pistons and bent the pistonshaft, and made a hole in the engine block. I bought the car from autoland, but I took the car to crevier to have it fixed (because I had a good experience previously with there service when the window motor in my driver's side door siezed up). They took an unusually long time to get the parts to fix the engine (in fact they ordered the wrong part at first), so they appoligized for the delay and gave me a loaner 325i even though I didn't buy my car from them and was under 21 at the time! During the process, they called me several times with conflicting information (one person left a message saying the car was fixed, then someone else left a message saying it wasn't), but I quickly figured out that the only person that was on top of things was Tess, my service advisor, so I just ignored everyone else and listened to her. When I finally got the car back, someone in the service department had torn the driver's seat. Crevier immediately offered to replace the seat for free, had a loaner waiting (!) when I dropped off my car again. When I finally got the car back, the electronics controlling the CVT transmission failed, and I had to take the car in again. Crevier again had a loaner waiting. During this time I had gotten behind on my car payments (1 month) and when I returned to Crevier to pick up my car they couldn't find it! Crevier called to report the car stolen and found that it had been repo'd. They appoligized to me (!) for allowing the car to be taken off their lot, and unoffically allowed me to keep their loaner another day while I got my mini back. (I paid 1200 to the finance company and got it back the next day). After this, my mini had the same electrical problem two more times, and each time, I took the car in as soon as I noticed the problem (I called only about 15 minutes ahead) and Tess had a loaner waiting for me the minute I arrived. Ultimately, the electrical problem kept coming back and I eventually traded in the car for another (a 325xi). Overall, Crevier's customer service (at least is my experience) was OUTSTANDING. Their only downfall is that their technicians don't seem to be very good. I would recommend this dealership because although their service time and quality is just average, their customer service is excellent, and their sheer willingness to help in every way possible can turn a frustrating service nightmare into something tolerable. Oh, and all I ever paid them was the $500 deductible on my insurance (for the water damage). Everything else was fixed under warrenty, no problems. More
Went in for brake inspection. I stated sounds like poor front brakes, I thought needed change. Also, they wanted to charge me for fan replacement at $960. Service advisor stated brakes are ok at this tim front brakes, I thought needed change. Also, they wanted to charge me for fan replacement at $960. Service advisor stated brakes are ok at this time. Then, I went to Desert BMW, they stated front brakes do need be changed and that the fan replacement would cost $514 which includes labor. Crevier totally misdiagnosed my brake inspection & wanted to overcharge me for the fan replacement. I totally felt they were dishonest with me. Salespeople are great, service advisor and service manager were totally unprofessional. More

Crevier has been able to fix problems with my car after another dealership had the car for days and claimed they couldn't recreate the noises and malfunctions. This really makes me wonder if all BMW mecha another dealership had the car for days and claimed they couldn't recreate the noises and malfunctions. This really makes me wonder if all BMW mechanics, foremen and shop directors receive the same training. The service at Crevier is excellent and I am extremely satisfied. Albert called when he said he would and kept me regularly appraised on the progress of my car. The folks in their parts department are also very knowledgeable and friendly. Theresa, Vaheh and Art are the parts staff I have dealt with. Despite being a bit out of my way, I have decided to stick with Crevier for excellent service. More
