Hello, Thank you for your message. Let me begin by assuring you that there is no "stripped oil pan scheme" happening at We have thousands of happy customers that come through our doors every year that could verify that. In regards to your concern we have had a few instances in the last week where the customers have needed their oil pans replaced for varying reasons. In instances where a drain plug is stripped it is usually in cases of an older vehicle or where at some point a mechanic used an impact wrench to tighten the nut in the interest of speed and the expense precision. We never use impact wrenches on oil pan lug nuts at Cresmont. Sometimes slower is better.
