Had a great experience at Crestmont. Picked up a 2011 VW GTI. Tyler and staff were great. Very knowledgeable about the car. I usually know what I am looking for and don't like to play games and Crestmont wa GTI. Tyler and staff were great. Very knowledgeable about the car. DON'T BUY HERE! I purchased a used car that looked like a cream puff but turned out to be a lemon! I complained form the beginning about a noise but the service manager kept giving lame excuses and sending m cream puff but turned out to be a lemon! They are good at being nice to your face but non call backs and avoidance are common practice. More
Dishonest behavior and abusive treatment of customers. I was ready to buy the car but then when i said i didn't want the extended warranty they all of a sudden added several hundred dollars in fees out of t was ready to buy the car but then when i said i didn't want the extended warranty they all of a sudden added several hundred dollars in fees out of thin air, and lied about the conversation five minutes before in which they had said "no other fees". Typical car dealer tricks of switching you between different people to try to confuse the situation and create more opportunities for deception. Please do NOT patronize this dealership. More

I had been to 4 other dealerships in New Jersey before I pulled the trigger at this dealership. This was my first new car purchase so I was very hesitant to say the least and turned off by dealerships wher pulled the trigger at this dealership. This was my first new car purchase so I was very hesitant to say the least and turned off by dealerships where the salespeople were unprofessional, made false promises, conveniently quoted deals on similar models under the guise of the model I was after. I came to Crestmont expecting a similar experience and initially only because they had the model I was after in stock (2011 Jetta TDI sportwagen grey exterior and black interior with sunroof). Upon arrival I was told that the car I called about was fresh off the boat and was pulled up outside wrapped in white tape and plastic and hadn't even been inspected by the dealership, which I was like "uh ohhh" but then Tyler checked with the workers in back to see how fast they could get it unpackaged and shined up. The shop pulled it in back and we sat down to talk about pricing. It was the usual experience where you see the "invoice" and make an offer, then the salesperson goes into the office to talk to his boss. I brought in a quote from another dealership and they did some research and showed me the based on the numbers attached that the other dealership (Linden) had sent me a quote for the sedan and not the sportwagen. I made an offer for a grand off MSRP and after some debate we had a deal. Shortly thereafter the previously shipping packed Jetta rolled out totally undriven, totally awesome to know that it hadn't been test-driven for 6 months or been abused! Tyler was awesome and knew about every feature down to the electronics and quirky functions. He's a total enthusiast and we had a blast riding the factory-fresh TDI and verifying that this was the car I was searching for. Knowledgable, excited, and never shady! Front desk employees get 2.5 stars, and both Orlando (manager) and Tyler score an overflowing 5 stars as they were always timely and polite and helped make this purchase happen. We then had to do financing which took a long time because as a recent grad I had a good credit rating but almost nil revolving credit. It took hours, and multiple banks, but they finally got it to go through for what I thought was a fare rate. I have no experience with their service department yet of course, but from the sales perspective these guys are the real deal. If this review sounds glowing - it is! I promised them I would write this review because they delivered the product that I was seeking and maintained a level of professionalism and truly worked with me to make it happen without engaging in all the absolute junk you hear (and I'm sure have experienced) when trying to get a car. Do yourself a favor if you are looking at VW's and give them a shot! I hope I don't need a new car for the next 5 years or so, but I will certainly be back if looking at a Volkswagen. More
Great experience with this dealer. My fiance has leased two cars with them and everything about the experience has been beyond my expectations. All the people we dealt with, from sales to finance have been knowledgeable about the product and willing to go the extra mile to make us happy. When we were picking up my fiance's car I ended up talking about a truck in the showroom and the day ended with me buying a truck. The dealership took care of my old lease for me and it was a fast and painless transaction. Any issue we have had has been addressed quickly and professionally. Also my fiance and I aren't the easiest to work with when it comes to price, we did shop around. I won't go into details, but they also gave us a great price. Good experience's will keep us as clients for a long time. More
I was there looking for a car for my daughter. Salesman was nice, and so was the Manager. We wanted a white Jetta, but they did not have any. By the end of the conversation, the Manager looked at the inv was nice, and so was the Manager. We wanted a white Jetta, but they did not have any. By the end of the conversation, the Manager looked at the inventory log on his desk, and said "wow" "we are getting a white car in two days!" He asked if i could put down a $200.00 deposit, but I said I would come back with it. Not soon after, they call me and said, " three other people want the white car, they can't hold it without the deposit". I laughed to myself because it sounded so typical. But within an hour i went down and put the deposit on it. They day the car was suppose to come in, i waited for a call. The next day, i called them. The "Manager" said that the car wont be there for another week or two. So i said, i will come get my deposit, and when or if it comes in, they can call me. WELL!!!!! He instantly got annoyed, and began to speak to me very rude. Just by his reaction, i knew things were not right. If he handled himself maturely, i would have decided to get a different color. But because of his anger and rudeness on the phone when i said i would like the deposit back, i wouldnt have let him give me a car for free! Even when i went in to get the money back, he said to my 16 yr old daughter, " so, what car did you get?" I couldnt believe it, my daughter responded none. I didnt feel comfortable with them keeping the deposit on a car that might not or might come in. (that is why i asked for it back) He just assumed i got a different car. (to bad, he caused the salesman to loose a deal!!!!!!!! So, the next I day found a white jetta at another dealership (He told me there were'nt anymore white jetta vw on the east coast) There was! and i got it. For $20 less a month $800.00 less then the sale price he gave me and 12,000 mi a year! Good things happen to nice people Mr. Manager "O". More

This saved a lot of time, when I got to the dealership, I was very happy to find that it took the dealer a short while to price my trade in and to have my paperwork ready. I was very pleasantly surprised at how much quicker this place was compared to other dealerships I had visited. This is the first time that I didn't find walking into a dealership a nightmare. The dealer who worked with me was very curteous and was able to answer all my questions. I also liked that they went over how the the car worked before I drove off. They all seemed like they cared about me and not just the sale of the car. More
