Easy purchase I've bought a little under 20 new and used cars through the years for me and my kids. I've had various experiences. For me, the name Crazy Cheap Cars I've bought a little under 20 new and used cars through the years for me and my kids. I've had various experiences. For me, the name Crazy Cheap Cars raised a red flag. While that indicates a bias I have for some unknown reason I keep an open mind. I read the reviews which were mostly positive so I kept them in my search. I was shopping online and knew what I wanted. I was searching for a great deal on a newer Grand Caravan within a 250 mile radius from home. I was not in a hurry as I was replacing a Grand Caravan that was still reliable, just rusty. I found several vans I watched. I see automatic price reductions are the norm now for used cars online. I saw some vans get sold before they reached my trigger price. I was working with one dealer 4 hours away by phone and they were great when I talked to them but when I asked questions they did not get back to me as they said they would. When I found a van at Crazy Cheap Cars and emailed them they called me and answered all my questions. When I asked about a lower price they kindly told me the pricing was set by algorithm and they could not negotiate. Not great news for me but their price was already a great deal. While the price was great I was still looking for a better deal. Over the next month the price continued to drop. It got low enough that I took the drive to see the van firsthand. The lot is packed with vehicles and the from the outside the office looks small. Once we walked in I was thoroughly impressed not only with the size of the operation, but also with the wide open space and friendly atmosphere. I worked with Chelsi and Jon who answered all my questions. I pointed out some concerns I had with the van such as a possible oil leak and chipped paint on the hood. They worked with me so I was clear what they would (oil leak) and would not (chipped paint) fix within the price of the van. Very clear, upfront and honest. My wife and I took a test drive and were satisfied. I still had another van I was looking at and there was not pressure from Chelsi or Jon to close a deal. They respected that I was not ready to purchase. My wife and I talked and decided of the two vans we were still looking at the one at Crazy was the better one for us. During that time the price dropped again and it was time to pull the trigger. I called and placed a deposit over the phone because it was too far to just drop by. They took the van off their website because they were now working with me exclusively. To me that demonstrated customer commitment even though the deposit was fully refundable.. The next Saturday I went in to seal the deal. There was the usual offerings of add-ons which were mostly of no interest to me. For the one I was, they worked with me because I want only part of a package being offered. I walked away very satisfied with the entire experience. I picked up the van yesterday and everything that was promised was done. Based on my experience I recommend Crazy Cheap Cars. More
