BUYER BEWARE!!! Plan on spending $2000-$3000+ over the actual value of the vehicle if you shop here. I just came from this dealership - empty handed. I had a specific car in mind when I arrived. We took i actual value of the vehicle if you shop here. I just came from this dealership - empty handed. I had a specific car in mind when I arrived. We took it for a test drive and I liked the car though I noticed the breaks pulsating. I requested to take it to a mechanic I trusted before proceeding. The first red flag was when the mechanic warned us that this dealership was notorious for ripping people off with extraneous fees and poor repairs having worked on many cars just months after being purchased from this place. He found that the brakes and all 4 tires needed to be replaced (Crazy Cheap offers the replacement of these and other parts as an additional $1300 package instead of a courtesy like most dealerships) along with some minor rust issues. Overall, he said it was a good car and warned us again about dealing with Crazy Cheap Cars. We pointed out the issues before we sat down to discuss the price. The salesman launched into a spiel about how he saves money on advertising and pushed bogus security glass etching and some sort of comprehensive roadside assistance/insurance-like programs on us. He finally put all the numbers in front of us. The car valued at just under $8000, $500 in extraneous dealer fees ($100 for gas & oil..), expected sales tax, plus the bogus programs added up to $10,000. When we said we weren't interested in the extra programs, HE REFUSED TO SELL US THE VEHICLE. -This is not my first time buying a used vehicle and the amount of fees were shocking- I would have happily purchased the car if the not for the ridiculous programs. Perhaps because we insisted on getting it inspected by an outside mechanic and intended to pay with cash, he knew he wasn't going to have any luck fleecing us mechanically or financially, and just gave up. If you're just looking to buy a decent car, pay your sales tax and register the vehicle like an average law-abiding citizen, you definitely should look elsewhere for a car. More
Mike O Ford once a crook always a crook. avoid this dealer like the plague salesmen are nice but avoid your questions and concerns they say they will find out about something and before you know it you dealer like the plague salesmen are nice but avoid your questions and concerns they say they will find out about something and before you know it you are signing away. 04 mountaineer was supposed to get four new tires and two new calipers. We received three used tires that just barely passed inspection and no new calipers. we got vehicle home and rear brakes were smoking. I replaced calipers myself. The next day a/c became hot when I called and spoke to Steve in service "What a Jerk" he told me if it was an easy fix they would take care of it if not it could get pricey. I would not trust these people to fix a matchbox car. I wish the this guy to get shut down once again. More
I went to purchase a card. The amount on the website was the amount that including a trade. However, I did not see this blurb. I worked with 3 people on this purchase and not one of them mentioned that the the amount that including a trade. However, I did not see this blurb. I worked with 3 people on this purchase and not one of them mentioned that the price was higher than what I was expecting to be financed for. When you look at the break down of the figures I mentioned the purchase price was wrong and not what I thought was the price. Even though the 3 sales people should have advised of the correct price they didn't and didn't care that their sales rep do not know the correct price with or without a trade. BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN GOING THERE.We state a certain payment and they stated it was all set to go and when we got there the payment was over $120.00 more than what was in my budget. More
I had high expectations for this place. I was surely disappointed when I realized what bad shape these cars are in. They spared no time telling me that they sell their cars "as-is." I should have brough disappointed when I realized what bad shape these cars are in. They spared no time telling me that they sell their cars "as-is." I should have brought a book to pass all the time I spent waiting and waiting. I called ahead to tell them exactly what cars I wanted to test drive but it still took 20 minutes to extract each vehicle out of their ridiculously crammed lot. The salesman I was working with was nothing but kind but I wish that he knew more about the vehicles he was working with. They bragged over and over about their amount or cars and low prices. But who wants to spend $15,000 on a vehicle with scratches all down the sides. Even if it is a good deal for the make, model, and mileage additional money would have to be spent to repair the unsightly damages. I overlooked the neglected care of the vehicles I was looking at because my workplace can provide me discounted services to fix them. So I sat down with the manager, my salesperson and my father to discuss my interest in a vehicle. Never have I encountered so much pressure to finance through a dealership. They tried to test my knowledge of financing and tried to make me feel stupid for wanting to finance elsewhere. Who cares if I do?! The conversation took a turn for the worse when the manager insulted my father's role in the car buying process. Although I am 19 I still respect the opinion of my dad. This manager disrespected us and left me with great disappointment. I really was interested in their vehicle but I do not wish to work with people that think they're better than others. I feel bad for the kind salesmen I worked with and I wonder how many opportunities this manager has ruined for him. Time and gas wasted. Feelings hurt. More
You have to understand what this Dealership is. Teases with low prices, and you have to know what you are doing. My son bought a car from them, great initial price. He also had financing set up, so no n with low prices, and you have to know what you are doing. My son bought a car from them, great initial price. He also had financing set up, so no need to deal on that. Initial price so great we didn't negotiate. Then came the purchase contract price with all the ridiculous add ons. Understand the battles you can win and those you can't. Dealer prep and gas fee, just pay. The car price is really low, so that extra $175 still doesn't matter. Those other add ons about etching and other insurances, forget it. Initially, they wanted an extra $1000 due to these, but we were walking out if they didn't remove them, which eventually they did. Are they a quality, friendly, dealership? Not on your life. Can you get a good deal if you work at it? Yes. Do not let inexperienced buyers deal with them! Have them bring someone with them that can negotiate for them. More
I did my inquiry by email and telephone. There is absolutely no communication between employees. Four different people called me with the same questions. When we settled upon a retail price for the absolutely no communication between employees. Four different people called me with the same questions. When we settled upon a retail price for the vehicle, one sales manager tried to tell me that the online price stated that a $3500 additional payment was required, (not true!!). When, after repeated attempts to get a breakdown of all titles, taxes, plates, etc., I was deluged by a long list of additional "fees" required. An $89.00 "gas service fee" (I was told this was state mandated, again not true), a $2.99 VIN etch fee, a $99.00 "prep" fee, a $75.00 "paperwork" fee, a $250.00 registration fee, and a $249.00 dealer fee; $765.00 in "required fees"!!!! Don't even go near this dealer, please! More
This place is a joke, called ahead of time saying I wanted to walk out the door at 11, the guy on the phone jay said that was able to be done, the reason I called ahead of one was because I'm coming fr wanted to walk out the door at 11, the guy on the phone jay said that was able to be done, the reason I called ahead of one was because I'm coming from an hour away and didn't want to waste time. Called multiple times verifying that we could walk out the door at 11, and he said yes and that nick would get us all set up with that. When we got there we were greeted by jay, who then introduces us to nick, we sat down then he told us we couldn't do the 11000 out the door and that it would be around 13... HAH. So then I say, we'll over the phone you said 11000 out the door and that's when he said "oh we never would have said that". So I'm lying? I would really dive an hour to some xxxx town to spend 1300 when I was wanting to spend 11000? Then they had us sit there for about 30 minutes, then came back saying that, "oh yea well jay told you the price and he's just the Internet guy, he was wrong" okay well I spoke with nick as well(who was telling me this) and he told me I could also walk out at 11000. But nope, he never said that only jay did and he's not a salesman.. Why are you having someone who has nothin to do with sales tell a customer a price? And then they will not go by the price he said.. I'm sorry, but my husband owns multiple business(successful) business including owning apartment complexes and doing hardwood flooring, and if he or one of his associates says a price whether its wrong or right, they stick to the price and lose money because of their personal mess up. With all that said, I walked out, I would never purchase a vehicle from this place, but its funny because I actually walked in with 12500 just in case something happened, but I just went and bought a 12 Honda civic from a dealership that actually deserves respect. Okay so here is the deal. I was recently looking at a Pontiac G6 GT that was white and had about 74,500 miles on it for roughly $6700. I thought this was a great deal and I wanted to test drive the vehic Pontiac G6 GT that was white and had about 74,500 miles on it for roughly $6700. I thought this was a great deal and I wanted to test drive the vehicle so I called them and told them that I was interested in it and that I wanted to come stop by for a test drive. I arrived there on the 27th and my father and myself had driven the car and both liked it. They mentioned the fact that it would not be there long and that they wanted to get rid of the vehicle by the end of the month which was the next day and they rushed us a bit. They said they could only do it after 5 P.M. though, meaning it would be dark outside and that we probably wouldn't be able to check all the way around the car for any dings or scratches. The ride was very nice and I told them that I was very much interested in buying it. They asked for $100 deposit to hold the car which was not an issue. I came back the next day, and basically everything went according to plan until we had to get the paperwork figured out. We arrived at approximately 5:30 P.M. and we were not seated and talked to for roughly a half hour. The sticker price of the car, I double checked to make sure, was $6670. I was thinking to myself alright this is good so far. After sitting for about an hour after first speaking to a representative, they asked me how much I made a month, which was about $600 netted, seeing as how I am only part time. One of the workers jokingly asked if it was gross or netted which made me feel belittled. I then told them that I would be able to afford a payment of about 150 a month due to other expenses that I am currently dealing with. After the estimate came through, they gave me one of about 230 a month. No guys, I said roughly 150 what did you not understand about that. They wanted to add on all of the warranties that nobody honestly needs. With 3k down, you would think that 120 a month over the course of 3 years would be sufficient to cover the 3700 left to pay on the car, right? WRONG. They kept us waiting for almost 3 hours and by the end of the endeavor when it came to the paperwork signing we were so frustrated that we just wanted to get it over with. One of the sales reps, i forget his name, was handling our paperwork and never gave us a final total or financed amount, it was all hidden from us and come to find out, the car price was 12,599 which was absolutely ridiculous. This was a nice car and all but the fact of the matter is that it was not worth anywhere near what they told us the sticker price was. I checked the KBB value of the car and it was somewhere in the neighborhood of 7,900 dollars considering the fact that there was a huge burn mark where the vinyl melted on the floor in the back and there were numerous parts of the car that were rusted and just casually painted over and are clearly visible in the light. They asked us who we wanted to finance through and we told them we wanted to go through ESL because we had accounts with them. They completely ignored that and went through Wells Fargo which doesn't even have a branch in the state. This is going to cause so many problems with payments. They told us the loan was going to be for 4 years, at $149 a month. They never gave us a final price until they gave us the paperwork back like it was hidden from us and this was the first time we had seen it. The car was financed for close to $9000 after I put 3k down on it. I was blown away at how much they changed the price. I checked the VIN and it was the same on both the car registration and the website. They also neglected to tell me that this loan ended up being $149 a month, for 66 MONTHS, not 48 like they had originally said.So now instead of paying for 4 years, I am going to have to be paying for a car that is barely worth half of what I actually paid for. They deceived me and took advantage of a first-time-buyer. I will never shop for another used car there, nor will I ever recommend them. Buyers beware, they are con artists who will frustrate you and make you wiling to sign anything. Always question to try and catch those monsters in the act of swindling you. BEWARE. More
