Crain VW in Fayetteville’s service department is a joke. I would highly recommend going elsewhere. My car was in for a warranty repair and they kept the car for over a week (the repair only needed 2-3 days) I would highly recommend going elsewhere. I called multiple times for updates on the car and was told it was in the bay getting fixed. The last time I called they told me they were unable to fix my car and would have to reschedule my appointment. I waited over a month for the original appointment, and had to make plans to have another vehicle to drive while mine was being repaired. The lying and lack of accountability on Crain’s part is disappointing. I am still waiting on them to call me back to reschedule another repair appointment. It’s been over a week and no communication. My next call will be to VW corporate, because I am getting nowhere with this dealership. More

Brought car in for an engine light intermittent coming on and off. Replaced an intake manifold and part with transmission. The transmission part took 7 business days to be delivered, and was told it would and off. Replaced an intake manifold and part with transmission. The transmission part took 7 business days to be delivered, and was told it would be fixed the day the part arrived. It was not completed until 3 days later, 15 days total. Picked up car and immediately turned around, car rpms at 5000 at 30 mph. Mechanical issues with transmission, apparently not checked after fix to transmission. 2 more days needed to fix the transmission. To add insult to the process I had to keep calling for updates, finally spoke with Service Manager and was told he would call me back once it was resolved. I received a call from the assigned service representative with no apology for my time without a car or Very poor customer service-I would not recommend this dealer for repair. More
