Crain Kia of Conway responded

When you bring your vehicle to our Service Department and it is throwing a Code, we cannot accept a print-out of the Code from Delta Transmission or Stephens Automotive. The Code must be read by our KIA Master Service Technicians in order for your Warranty to cover the Diagnostic Fee, Parts and Labor. However, the Code had been cleared by the other Companies that plugged in the Code Reader. Therefore, your Advisor only charged you 1/2 hour Diagnostic Time because you didn't want to pay the fee. The Code has to be present and active to be able to perform the extended warranty for the fuel pump, and yours was not. Our KIA Master Technicians run a diagnostic on vehicles to see what code(s) the vehicles are reflecting that isn't working properly. The Diagnostic Fee is $150 initially. If the codes are covered under your KIA Warranty, the Diagnostic Fee, Parts and Labor are covered. There is a process you must follow with KIA for us to look at your vehicle even if it takes hours to update your Recalls and to make sure your vehicle is Safe. Your Recall was not completed since you left our Dealership with your vehicle. The only place you can get Updates and Recalls is at a KIA Dealership. This is not safe for you to ignore.
