Mr. Cookus, I know it is frustrating to have to wait so long for your vehicle. All vehicles, at this time, are in short supply and again we put you in a loaner as soon as one was available. The warranty work that was completed on your vehicle was an engine replacement at no charge to you. Again these are not normal times and because of COVID and supply chain issues getting an engine took much longer than usual. As far as your A/C unit, your vehicle is a 2015 model and frankly not uncommon for a 7 year old vehicle to have A/C issues. I don't think that because your vehicle was on our lot the seals "rotted" any quicker than they would have if the vehicle was in your driveway. We would not have tested the A/C unit during the engine replacement. In regards to your text or email I believe you sent the email to me on 4-28 and I responded on 4-29 after I had had time to review your complaint. Very inaccurate, sir. While I appreciate your fast response on a platform where the public can read the poor review, that’s not how it worked when it was a private conversation. I have screenshots of the emails and texts from last week between you and my service advisor. I show texts on “read” for over 24 hours. You came in at the very end of the situation. As it pertains to the timeliness of the repair itself, I completely understand the 4 month window, and I never complained about that. My only concern was having a way to get myself around without using Uber. Also, I didn’t get a loaner you had to wait for, I was given a rental from Hertz…2 months after having my Vehicle towed to your dealership. I traded in my Tucson last weekend for a Subaru and it had nothing to do with the vehicle itself, but how the “10 year/100k mile” warranty that Hyundai stands behind does not deliver on the quality and timeliness that was expected. My car, for being 7 years old, has been in my garage since I bought it and had less than 65k miles on it. As far as you questioning the rot, you copied me on an email from one of your technicians that said it was a rotted seal and that seal surely deteriorated due to sitting for 4 months.
