Ms. Sorenson. I have apologized to you in person for the misunderstanding regarding your complimentary service. The maintenance package that was provided by the dealership is good for 36,000 miles or 3 years with the service at 5,000 mile up to 7,500 mile intervals. We did honor the service agreement and advised you that the oil service on 06-03 would be covered by the program as well as one additional oil change service. Your mileage on the last service indicated that you had accumulated 25,600 miles on the service program. Given that you service your Palisade approximately every 5,000 miles you would have around 30,600 miles on your Palisade after the last service with one complimentary service remaining. The remaining service would cover the promised warranty. Again mileage OR time. Again I apologize for any misunderstanding. We fully intend to honor the entire service warranty provided as I have outlined. You did apologize AFTER you (Crain Hyundai) tried to make me pay for the service. Why do I have to grovel for something that was promised to me? Why? You’ll say it’s a misunderstanding, just like the miscommunication that happened when you (the service department) tried to make me pay for a filter that wasn’t in the car in the first place. I went in when my cruise control wasn’t working, and they said it was because I crashed the car, I didn’t. I won’t come back for my “promised” free service either. I’m done. The service department makes me feel awful and you made me feel awful.

Ms. Sorenson, For what it's worth I hate it that we made you feel awful, I apologize. The service advisor that took care of you was not aware of the maintenance package that the dealership provided you, not your fault, just bad communication between our sales and service departments. Once we did a little checking, we honored the service program as I outlined in my last response. All Hyundai parts are made to industry standards.
