Paid More Than I Thought Vehicle Was Worth I was really impressed by the salesman - which is unusual - but when it came to making the deal I felt pressed to take a deal that was higher than wha I was really impressed by the salesman - which is unusual - but when it came to making the deal I felt pressed to take a deal that was higher than what I told them I could or would pay. I should have walked away from the table and would have but I knew this was the car I wanted and I was worried it wouldn't be there if I waited. I also wasn't given any finance options. They told me who was going to finance it - only after I asked. The finance guy writing up the deal just kept his head down in the paperwork and only came up to breathe if I asked a question, or when it was time for me to sign something. The amount of money on the sticker price did not match what they were verbally telling me the car cost. When I asked why the sticker price was lower than what they were telling me the price of the car was, the finance guy said the sticker price was always $40k (the sticker said $38), and he went on and blew through everything else. I have the sticker in my glove compartment and it doesn't say $40k. Also, this is my third Hyundai and I received no loyalty discount. When I asked why I didn't get a loyalty discount, I was told they just didn't do them that month. You should ALWAYS have a loyalty discount! That was one of the things I was counting on most and why I decided to go with this SUV versus another brand. Now I have a car that is about $150 over what I wanted to pay per month (even though I told the negotiator that I needed to keep the payment at or below $400). Yes, it is ultimately my fault. I should have walked away. This will probably be the last Hyundai I buy, as I do not like doing business with this dealership. More
