$12,930.98 Repair....Failure to communicate cost We had a 2010 Ford Fusion breakdown as we were traveling through Little Rock and had it towed to Crain Ford. We rented a car to continue our already We had a 2010 Ford Fusion breakdown as we were traveling through Little Rock and had it towed to Crain Ford. We rented a car to continue our already stressful cross country move. A few hours later we got a call on the cell phone informing us the repair would be what we heard to be $1400 and change. We felt it was reasonable amount and gave a verbal okay. The service representative made no effort to communicate that this repair was in the thousands of dollars not hundreds. The vehicle is six years old with 140,000 miles on it. Never in my wildest dreams would I have jumped to fourteen thousand dollars for a car repair, nor would anyone I have told this story to. In our opionin it was irresponsible to even recommend this costly of a repair for this vehicle but criminal to not have made every effort to ensure we CLEARLY understood the amount. NEVER WAS THE WORD Thousand used, just a one time quick rattling off of numbers. SHAME ON CRAIN FORD. Do not let their charm fool you, get everything in writing before doing business with them, if you dare do business with them. More
