Craig Smith is a second-generation dealer. His father and uncle started in the new car business in 1963 in Dekalb Illinois. The family sold their store in Illinois in 1975 and moved to Florida where they operated a new car dealership until 1994. Market changes and a new overpass built in front of the Florida dealership dictated a change for The Smith Family. The dealership was sold, and Craig Smith found the Galion Ohio point to be just what he was looking for. Craig Smith Auto Group was opened in May of 1995 selling Chevrolet, Pontiac, Oldsmobile and Buick. The dealership is now known as Craig Smith Chevrolet Buick. Its focus is employee and customer satisfaction.

Chris is by far the best car salesmen anyone could ask for. He makes you feel comfortable with purchasing a vehicle and doesn't pressure you into buying anything if you are not comfortable like a normal s for. This guy really took his time to show us everything their was about the vehicle even before we bought it. I usually do not like going to a dealership but he made it such a relaxed process I did not feel like was about the vehicle even before we bought it.
