I am very disappointed with Cox Chevy. I bought my car from them about 7 months ago. Within the 1st month the tint on my window melted. I was told several times it was under warranty. I called several time to make an appointment to have it fixed only to be told the tint company wasn't available for a few months. 6 months later, I finally got an appointment. I took the morning off of work to have this done. . When I arrived I was told this was not under warranty and I would have to pay them. I was mislead and put off from the beginning. I will never have my vehicle serviced at Cox Chevy again. Cox Chevy you lost a faithful customer. I hope you don't treat all women in this manner. But by reading the reviews, I'm being to think so. More
What part of "I need my horn replaced" didn't they understand? I made an appointment to have my horn replaced. It's a dual horn, and one of the two went out. When I get there, they tell me they have to diagnose my vehicle... I just need my horn replaced. After a $192 diagnostic fee, guess what... my horn needs replaced! An hour and half later and $350 for a $20 horn, they want an "Excellent" rating for their survey... LOL! More
I arrived at scheduled time, Dave my service associate was polite and Informative however, he had told me two hours for a tire rotation, alignment, and basic inspection. Cox was to bill a 3rd party for the service however they were difficult to convince as to how to go about doing so. In the end I ended up having to pay the bill myself as they couldn't accomplish the billing task. After leaving I realized they had not given me any documentation as to the work that was completed. I especially wanted the inspection report but did not receive one. I'm skeptical the work I requested was actually done to my vehicle. Not the best dealer experience I've had and will find another dealership service center for my future needs. More
Terrible service department, they charged me $415 to fix something, misdiagnosed the problem and I had to go back, then charged me another $176 to fix the same problem they fail to fix the first time. You should stay away from this dealership. I would write one of those funny bad reviews, but this was too serious for that. The service department incompetence is almost unparalleled. I am at the end of a two week ordeal that was so bad that I actually bought a car sight unseen from CARMAX from my phone while waiting on a salesmen to come back with another run of bad pricing while trying to push me into a car I had zero interest in. Long story short, I had to constantly call or go in person to get any info. Zero upfront communication on pricing. At this point the only thing that helped ease the burden was that they reduced the diagnostic to 200.00 plus tax…needless to say, no repairs to be done by these guys. If this was the last dealership on the planet, I’d walk before buying or servicing a vehicle here. More
Don't go here for service. They were rude when I got there, told me "your advisor is Len" and then walked off. Then he barked at me when I got out of my truck to walk in and find Len. How the xxxx am I supposed to know your process if you don't tell me "stay in the truck and he will come to you." On top of that the prices were absolutely insane. Go to a normal mechanic and you will save yourself 60% or more. Quoted over $800 to replace a (yes ONE) brake caliper that was sticking. The part is $58 at local parts stores, but they are charging me over $300 for the part. I could swap it out myself in less than an hour, but I've got another almost $500 in labor. Come on .... This after another Chevy dealership just went through the entire braking system a week ago and I spent over $1,500 there to get the brakes right. The very next time I drive it the ABS light is on and the brakes are sticking. Waste of money. I will never own a Chevy again and will avoid Chevy dealers like the plague. More
We took our 2017 Chevy SS for an oil change on March 17 2021. We had an 11am appointment and after waiting 2 hours for the oil change to be completed, the following occurred. Avonne pulled our car out of the service bay and proceeded to do hot laps around the parking lot at a high rate of speed. We happened to be outside to witness this and walked up and confronted Avonne and ask him, “Did you have fun?” He knew he was caught and replied, “Yes it’s a nice car.” We went in and asked for the Service Manager to let him know what I witnessed. Roberto said “ I’m sorry that it happened and he will be talked to”. After stewing about the incident all night we decided to call and speak to the General Manager of the dealership. This could not have gone worse. We were yelled at on the phone and talked down to by John. He said, “ We work on tight margins and there is nothing I can do for you.” “Is this is the first time you have came to the dealership.” This lead us to believe because we have not purchased the vehicle there, he did not owe us anything. We specifically went to a Chevrolet dealership to avoid any problems getting service. Stay away from Cox Chevrolet! All they care about is the bottom line! Just drove in. Since I am so busy, I usually do not make an appointment to service my car at Cox. I just drive in, and they let me through. Great service. My advisor yesterday was Raymond Orin JR. I explained what I needed done and he got it done. Today, I had a question and called. He wasn't available at the moment, but he did call me back in about ten minuets. He answered all of my questions and I was happy with the service. Good Job! More
Poor workmanship and no attention to detail Let me start with I have over 40 years experience as a mechanic. I took my 2019 Silverado in for it’s second service, had to rent one of their vehicles as it was going to be a long wait. Several hours later my truck was done. There was a piece of foam sticking out from the windshield which I has asked the service writer to have addresses and it was ignored and still hanging out on the dash. I tucked this piece down between the windshield and dash myself assuming that is where it went. 3 days later while driving in town traffic, my low tire pressure warning system began showing my left front tire was low, I did not feel any pull in the steering so believed I had time to find a service stating to check the air, minutes later I heard the tire begin to roar and knew it was flat, I immediately pulled over onto the shoulder of the road and discovered my left REAR was flat and now ruined, the service tech never reset my pressure sensor locations when the tires were rotated. I will accept blame for not pulling over the instant the warning system showed a low tire but had the sensors read properly I would not have believed it was the front tire. I contacted the Cox Chevrolet parts and service department on Friday morning and requested to bring the truck in to replace the tire. The parts man stated it looked like the tire appeared to be discontinued. A NEW TRUCK SOLD WITH DISCONTINUED TIRES!!! I was informed they would try to get a tire that day or maybe Saturday but most likely Monday. I called each day to check and as of Monday evening still no tire. I had to leave for south Florida where I work on Monday evening so I contacted a Jimmys tire in Clewiston on MONDAY EVENING AND HE HAD A NEW ONE TUESDAY MORNING! Why is it a small tire shop in nowhere backwater Clewiston, Florida can get a tire in one night that Cox Chevrolet can’t get over 4 days? Now I have my tire replaced but the pressure sensor system is still not reading the proper tire. To say I am disappointed in Cox Chevrolet parts and service is a huge understatement. Looks like I will be performing my own service from now on as Cox Chevrolet Service has shown too much incompetence in their workmanship? The sales people I dealt with were wonderful, stay away from their service! More
