Took my 2019 Cruze with 49,000 miles in for service because the traction stabilizer light came on and it started cutting out. Took it to a local service garage first that told me this should still be c because the traction stabilizer light came on and it started cutting out. Took it to a local service garage first that told me this should still be covered under the emissions warranty which is 8 years 80,000 miles. I did so and after putting it on a diagnostic machine they called me and said it was a PCV valve. I went online and researched the cost and on the PCV valve I found the cheapest was $75. and the most expensive was $219. They charged me $940.00 along with supposedly numerous other issues and to fix it it would cost $2700.00. Dummy me said fix it because I needed it back. After they supposedly said they fixed, 62 days later the same light came on and it started doing the same thing. Took it back and after putting it back on the diagnostic machine, don't you know they said they checked everything they did came back as good. In the same breath they said it was something different and that it would cost $650.00. Told them do not touch it, I am coming to get it. To compound matters, my daughter has a 2019 chevy equinox with less than 70,000 miles and don't you know that the transmission went and that would be $7,000.00 to $8,000.00 to replace. Of course that was not under warranty as well .I am getting it fixed on Tuesday by the service center I took it to originally. On Wednesday that piece of crap car will be up for sale and I will NEVER get another Chevy again as well as my daughter. Corporate America at its best again. More
I wanted a specific used car. When I emailed about it I was told it was available. The next day I was told it had sold the night before and they had other vehicles to choose from. When I emailed about it I was told it was available. The next day I was told it had sold the night before and they had other vehicles to choose from. I told them I wasn't interested. I was then told the vehicle was still available. I don't believe they have this vehicle in stock. The only ones available are in either Orlando or Jacksonville which I can get from CarMax. I've never done anything with this company. However, it is very suspicious to tell me the vehicle sold on the night I was inquiring about it and the next business day it's still available. I don't trust a bait and switch company like this. I just want the truth. Either they have the vehicle or they don't, if not, I'm not interested in any other option/vehicle or any deadline with this company. Being dishonest is not a way to gain my business. I will keep looking for the vehicle I want to purchase and it won't be through someone who is deceitful and doesn't have good business ethics. More
I am deeply disappointed with the level of "customer service" I experienced at Cox Chevrolet in Bradenton. It's distressing to feel misled and taken advantage of, especially given my previous positive e service" I experienced at Cox Chevrolet in Bradenton. It's distressing to feel misled and taken advantage of, especially given my previous positive engagements with Cox. On this occasion, the disparity between the quoted online price for a vehicle and the final charge was substantial, leading me to believe I significantly overpaid. Despite requesting a specific APR to facilitate the purchase and being reassured by the sales representative, the actual terms, including the interest rate, were not clearly communicated. This resulted in a monthly payment plan with an APR far exceeding our agreement. Upon discovering this discrepancy, I sought clarification and a potential resolution, given my strong credit history and nearly cleared auto loan portfolio, which left me perplexed about the financing terms presented to me. Furthermore, when I expressed my desire to return the truck, the dealership's solution involved transitioning to a less expensive model, coupled with an unexpected request for a $16,000 upfront payment to facilitate new financing. This proposal was bewildering, especially considering the price difference between the trucks and the excess payment already made on my part. The subsequent communication from the dealership, which included a hostile demand for the return of the vehicle tag under the threat of reporting it as stolen, was completely unprofessional and not reflective of the customer-centric ethos I previously associated with Cox, known for gestures like sending cookies to customers' homes after a purchase. This series of events has been extremely disheartening, marking a stark departure from the quality of service and integrity I had come to expect from Cox Chevrolet. More
I was ready to trade my 2016 Colorado and 2019 Miata on a 2023 Frontier. The online estimated trade in on the Colorado was between $15k and $16k on the COX CHEVY WEBSITE. . The Miata’s was between $21k and $ 2023 Frontier. The online estimated trade in on the Colorado was between $15k and $16k on the COX CHEVY WEBSITE. . The Miata’s was between $21k and $24k. The Colorado has body damage. I was upfront with the salesman and sent photos ahead of time, I’ve received estimates between $6 and $7k to repair the body damage, Trent convinced me to drive an hour to the dealership with both vehicles that they were ready to make a deal. I was astonished when they tried to steal my truck for a mere $3000. It only has 25k miles, The powetrain is worth more than $3k. Not only that, they offered the lowest amount of the range on the Mazda of $21k. I see what they were doing. I owe $24k on the Miata. They made it so I had zero net proceeds to put down and was financing 100% of the new truck with 2 trade ins. Total bait and switch and unscrupulous, **Update**: Carmax gave me $7500 for the 2016 Colorado Cox tried to steal for $3000 plus $24,000 for my Miata. In the meantime Erin from Cox Mazda was soliciting my business. I told her about my experience at Cox Chevy and she was flippant and rude. Don’t waste your time with Cox Chevy/ Mazda. Go straight to Carmax where I’ve always gotten an honest deal. More

What a great experience at Cox Chevrolet! My husband and I went in to check out a pre-owned vehicle and in lest than 2.5 hours, we were driving it off the lot! The entire team was amazing My husband and I went in to check out a pre-owned vehicle and in lest than 2.5 hours, we were driving it off the lot! The entire team was amazing to work with, especially our sales consultant, Jim Timpson. Even though we arrived about 20 minutes early for our appointment, he came out and took care of us right away. He really took the time to make sure we loved the vehicle – we never felt rushed. Jim also spoke very highly of the Cox group, you can tell he truly enjoys where he works and making customers happy is his top priority. Also, a big thanks to Damion who made financing a breeze. Thank you so much Cox Chevrolet, we love our new vehicle! More
