Cowboy Kia mailed my plates, registration, and spare key to an address three hours from where I actually live. Jeremy tried but unfortunately his sales manager (name unknown) and their finance manager (name unknown). I asked many times what the interest rate was for a person that had a credit rating of better 825? I had finally had enough and decided to leave. I went to the car and realized that they were charging 11% plus an additional $3500.00 for a KIA plan PLUS an additional 10000.00 over invoice even though the going rate is 7%. We were going to order a Telluride and wait 90 days. Went across the freeway and bought a Hyundai Palliside Limited from Weisner, Same vehicle (motor, transmission and powertrain) with at least 1 1/2 times all the bells and whistles and twice the warranty for a whole lot less money. Plus we are driving it now. I would not recommend anyone to buy a new vehicle from Cowboy KIa! More

I called Cowboy Kia & asked Virgil if they have a market adjustment. He said they stopped the $10k charge due to higher supply. I asked if there were any required add-ons. He said no. To confirm, my husband called. He spoke to Tim & Jeremy. They said there was no market adjustment but there was an optional add-on. Tim gave us a total price that excluded any add ons or market adjustments. We told him which vehicle we wanted & scheduled to meet the next morning. Tim asked about a trade & told him yes & disclosed damage on the front fender. He gave me an estimated trade value. We checked the price at three other local dealers.The other dealers and the original quote from Cowboy Kia were the same. Upon arrival Tim requested we leave positive reviews on Google & Kia. He said perfect reviews both places would get me a $50 gift card. He took the keys to my trade to appraise it. We looked at 2 vehicles. I chose the 1 I wanted & declined a test drive. Tim handed us the keys & got an invoice. Their appraisal of my vehicle was half of the quote from the phone and half the amount of 3 other dealers. The invoice had a $5k protection package. We declined it. The new invoice had a $2.5K package. We declined it. The next invoice had no protection package but they lowered the value of my trade. We knew the vehicle was worth over twice their appraisal and after they dropped it lower we told Tim we were going to keep my trade & buy the Telluride. Tim left & came back with a manager. He told us that without the protection plan & the trade, there was a $5K market adjustment. They lied to us so we made a 2.5 hour drive to the dealership only to find out nothing we were told was true. I reminded them that the reviews work both ways. We told them we weren’t buying but couldn’t leave because they had my keys. It wasn’t about the money. It was the unethical sales practices & the lies. Jeremy & a new manager brought a new invoice. He asked us to meet in the middle & accept half of the depreciation my car suffered on their lot. We agreed. Jeremy said mentioning a negative review was the reason they decided to raise my trade value a few hundred dollars. Before paying Jeremy requested I leave a google review. I was told what to say & the order to name the salesmen. They made leaving a positive review part of the sales process. We went through financing without trouble. A young man walked us through the vehicle’s features. We never made it back to my trade before leaving. We had no access to it and I didn’t remember I left my purse in it. The purse was in the console with the owner's manual, lock nuts, and headphones. When I realized I left my purse in the vehicle I traded we called & spoke to Jeremy. He said my vehicle was there & he would look for my purse. Jeremy called back to tell me that my purse was thrown away. They had the items with the purse including the headphones, lock nuts, and owner’s manual. We asked again to verify. He said yes & that someone remembered throwing my silver purse away. He said all valuables are thrown away in detail. We called to ask if we could come check the trash for my purse but he said the dumpsters were emptied. I called the manager. I told him I left my purse in my trade & Jeremy informed me it was thrown away. I asked if they normally throw people’s valuables away. He said no. Valuables were supposed to be brought to the office so their owner could retrieve them. My purse had ID in it. He said Tim would look into it. Tim messaged later that evening stating my purse wasn’t there, it wasn’t in the trash, & nobody threw it away. Two salesmen & two different stories. The next day I called the manager. He said he was going to personally look into it. Instead Jeremy called back and his words were are we really doing this again & when I said excuse me he said about your purse. Cowboy Kia lies, uses very unethical sales practices, can’t be trusted, & doesn’t care about customers. More
I contacted the dealership about a vehicle I found online. I talked to Tommy about my trade-in and told him the amount I had already been offered. He promised to make me a good deal because they were low on inventory. When I arrived, he offered about $2,500-3,500 less than I had received in binding offers from three other dealerships. He also added almost $4K for new clear coating (the vehicle already had clear coating) and vehicle tracking/connected services, apparently hoping I would not notice. He then insisted that the extra $4000 was included in the online price (it wasn't), and he furthermore did not want to disclose the specific interest rate on the financing he was offering. I also told him that I had outside financing, and he said that I had to use the financing they offered. All in all, he was deceptive and misleading on multiple issues. I felt that he was extremely dishonest in dealing with me. I drove three hours out of town to buy the car, and he tried to mislead me at every opportunity! I think the finance person was also dishonest. This was by far the worst car buying experience I've ever had! This dealership is not to be trusted! More
