Wow! I have heard the stories not to go to Cowboy Dodge but they exceeded their bad reputation. My new 2010 Jeep Wrangler broke down in Cheyenne on July 2, 2011. I had just purchased the vehicle in March but they exceeded their bad reputation. My new 2010 Jeep Wrangler broke down in Cheyenne on July 2, 2011. I had just purchased the vehicle in March. I was able to drive vehicle to Cowboy Dodge and was told it needed a new engine. Vehicle was finally repaired 17 days later on July 19th. When I dropped vehicle off, it had 3,080 miles on it and a full tank of gas. When I picked it up, the vehicle had 3,174 miles on it and a little over a 1/2 tank of gas. Darwin (Service Manager) said he could not re-imburse me for the gas used as it was not part of the warranty. The vehicle had to be driven to make sure new engine was OK and had no leaks. I told him if this was part of the repair then gas should be covered or you need to get authorization from me to use my gas. He said he would contact his rep to see what he could do. Apparently it takes a long time to contact this rep because it was August 4th when he called and told me they would not pay for the gas. I went to dealership and talked to Carl Cochrane (Sales Manager) and he laughed and said there was nothing he could do. I then talked to the owner Dennis. Conversation took about 30 seconds as Dennis told me: You have caused nothing but problems here. You didn't buy the vehicle here so I see no reason to consider this. I'm not going to be intimidated by you. You can leave the vehicle if you would would like. Not sure what he meant by leaving the vehicle as I had already traded it in?? Everything worked out as Chrysler did re-imburse me for all my gas expense to drive back to Cheyenne to pick up the vehicle (I live 150 miles from Cheyenne). The Case Manager (Sheila) at Chrysler was great to work with. The dealership (Go Chrysler on Broadway in Littleton Colorado) was great to work with. I guess Cowboy Dodge only cares about the Chrysler name and product if you buy the vehicle there. I just hope your dealership got charged for the gas Dennis! More
