I brought my truck in almost three weeks ago they said they would be in contact about the plan on how to fix it, received two calls with what’s wrong with it and haven’t received a call back regarding the they would be in contact about the plan on how to fix it, received two calls with what’s wrong with it and haven’t received a call back regarding the timeline and like they said they would. They proceeded to tell us that in order to figure out one of them, they would have to take the dash off and see if our warranty would cover it. If they didn’t the labor alone would be 2K. NEVER received call notifying us if warranty covered it or if we need to pay out of pocket weve call so many time and everytime we get a sent to message and told we’ll receive a call back but never happens! More

DO NOT go here for service. Mechanics are incompetent. Took our vehicle in to have the AC fixed. We were told three of five flab's were not working. $1015. Then told it would be an additional $600 to put wiring back under dash. Then told it would be $4000 to actually fix, but we could take it as is because it blows. We just need to hit defrost for AC and then play with the buttons to get defrost or heat, etc., but don't hit too many buttons or whole system will break. So incompetent. Over $1600 and not fixed. Spoke with manager and head of service department. Was told there was no way to know that the box was defective. I'm not a mechanic, but even I know that is not accurate given what we told them it was doing when we brought it in (exactly what it's doing now!!!) More

I took my 2020 Buick enclave in, on November 22, 2021. I thought it had transmission issues. They looked at it, and said there were metal shavings in the pan. So they were going to remove the transmission t thought it had transmission issues. They looked at it, and said there were metal shavings in the pan. So they were going to remove the transmission to find the cause. Well fast forward to Jan. 5th 2022. They still haven't done anything to the vehicle. We've been without our vehicle, for 6 weeks. Mean while our service advisor, was not very helpful at all. We picked up the car Jan 5th 2022. Proceeded to tke it to Rush Chevrolet in Elgin. They looked it over, and said nothing is wrong with the transmission. The transmission pan was never dropped, like covert said it was. So we were out of a car 6 weeks, for no reason. We got a bulletin, from Rush Chevrolet, explaining the way it shifts. Thank you, Rush Chevrolet. I will never take my vehicle to Covert Chevy again!! More

I had bought a new 2019 Chevy Traverse well my transmission went out. It took them days to even look and then Jennifer Cooper who I dealt with said she had no loaners. Finally when she got one it was days later and no comparison to my present car. I returned the loaner and she even checked it. A week later she contacts me says it had dog hair in it so had to cleaned. I said don't you clean for Covid anyways (makes me wonder?). Anyways, when I confronted her she said it had stains even and that is such a lie! I will never buy from here again with this service and treatment. She said she would let Joey the service manager know and they will charge my card for the cleaning. My issue is she checked the car when I dropped it off and said nothing! They obviously aren't cleaning well for Covid or when they are they are charging the customers who already got a horribly bad deal buying a lemon car from them! That was traumatic in and of itself to have my car go bad after such a short time and then be treated this way when I chose to buy from them. I will let all my friends know about how I was treated here. More
Covert Hutto Service dept RIP OFF I took my car in on a Thursday for an oil change and asked them to fix the actuator arm on the hvac system and check the brake pads. I was told with o I took my car in on a Thursday for an oil change and asked them to fix the actuator arm on the hvac system and check the brake pads. I was told with on 75,000 miles it was unlikely I needed pads but they would look at them. The mechanic apparently cut the rotors and then the pads didn't fit correctly. He says the rotor was "curved". This added over $200.00 to my bill. On Monday they called and said I had a freon leak in my a/c. Why they were even checking the a/c charge is beyond me. I never asked them to look at the a/c. All I asked for on that was the vent actuator arm which is accessible from inside the car under the dash. The mechanic had evacuated the freon and put dye in it. This unasked for repair added hundreds to my bill. They "forgot" to look at the actuator arm and now 7 days without my car later the part is "on the way". However, this will add another $100.00 to my bill. I am beyond upset with my bill skyrocketing for un asked for and unnecessary repairs these guys decided to do. I have bought 3 cars from Covert Hutto over the years beginning in 2001 when I purchased my first new car. I've had a couple of issues with the service dept over the years but after this experience with the service department I will never bring my car in for service there again. Even my "free" oil changes for the life of my car will not be trusted with Covert Hutto. I'll just pay to have them done from here out with another shop. When I finally get my car back today or tomorrow this will be the last time I ever do any kind of business with Covert. More
