A little Covert History.
In 1909, Frank M. Covert, Sr., a real estate and insurance businessman opened the first automobile dealership in Central Texas. Three years later, his son, Clarence Covert, Sr., joined him to form the Austin Buick Sales Company, which became the foundation for Covert Buick, Inc., the oldest Buick dealership in Texas today.
Frank M. Covert Sr. was succeeded in the business by his two sons, Frank Covert Jr. and Clarence Covert Sr. Frank Covert, Jr. had one son, Dr. Frank M. Covert III, who chose not to join the family business and instead became a surgeon. He is now retired from the practice of medicine and resides in Austin. Very friendly staff and they seemed to really want to help me get the vehicle I was looking for. Thought the fact they took me to the shop and I got to see how they handled the oil changes and work was help me get the vehicle I was looking for. I found a Ford Expedition EL at Covert Ford through Cars.com. I first spoke to Mark to confirm that the vehicle was still on the lot. The first time I talked to him, he was courteous and professional Cars.com. I first spoke to Mark to confirm that the vehicle was still on the lot. The first time I talked to him, he was courteous and professional. He called me back very quickly to confirm that the vehicle was indeed still in stock. Since I live about 2 hours away from Hutto, I tried to work with a local dealer first. But, when the local dealer could not negotiate a trade nor locate a similar vehicle, I decided I would just try to work a deal with Mark and Covert Ford. Mark was able to give a trade-in estimate over the phone on my existing Expedition and was able to give me a fair trade value, site-unseen. After getting the trade estimate, I drove to Hutto, and we worked out a deal on the new Expedition EL. The entire process was simple, easy and as quick as it could possibly be. Mark made the process as seamless as it could possibly be, and I appreciate that. I also feel that I got a very good price on the new Expedition as the internet listed price was very competitive.
