A little Covert History.
In 1909, Frank M. Covert, Sr., a real estate and insurance businessman opened the first automobile dealership in Central Texas. Three years later, his son, Clarence Covert, Sr., joined him to form the Austin Buick Sales Company, which became the foundation for Covert Buick, Inc., the oldest Buick dealership in Texas today.
Frank M. Covert Sr. was succeeded in the business by his two sons, Frank Covert Jr. and Clarence Covert Sr. Frank Covert, Jr. had one son, Dr. Frank M. Covert III, who chose not to join the family business and instead became a surgeon. He is now retired from the practice of medicine and resides in Austin. This is my FIRST time to purchase a NEW car on my own, Prior to going to Covert, I had gone to another dealership in the Austin area and in my opinion, I felt as an outsider as if I was taking up or wasti Prior to going to Covert, I had gone to another dealership in the Austin area and in my opinion, I felt as an outsider as if I was taking up or wasting their time. Then I decided to stop by Covert Chevrolet the next day on my way home and the service was the best I have ever experienced, in my opinion. I dealt with 3 gentlemen, Brad LaRoche , Jason Seaton, and Steve Rogge, they were all very friendly and attentive, they treated me and my family with the upmost respect. It was truly one of the easiest transactions I've ever had. They even stayed late to help us out. We had no problems getting credit approval. It took longer for us to find our own insurance cards ever had. They even stayed late to help us out. We had no problems getting credit approval. It took longer for us to find our own insurance cards than it did to get the rest in order. From the time we'd made a decision (after inspecting and test driving) to the time I drove away in my new car was around 30 minutes. Thanks for making it such a nice experience! More
