A little Covert History.
In 1909, Frank M. Covert, Sr., a real estate and insurance businessman opened the first automobile dealership in Central Texas. Three years later, his son, Clarence Covert, Sr., joined him to form the Austin Buick Sales Company, which became the foundation for Covert Buick, Inc., the oldest Buick dealership in Texas today.
Frank M. Covert Sr. was succeeded in the business by his two sons, Frank Covert Jr. and Clarence Covert Sr. Frank Covert, Jr. had one son, Dr. Frank M. Covert III, who chose not to join the family business and instead became a surgeon. He is now retired from the practice of medicine and resides in Austin. Buying process never easier I found a truck I liked when shopping on line Sunday afternoon. Called and spoke with Rick at their Bastrop location. Monday evening Jason called me. We discussed my truck and he offered me $500 more than Henna, sight unseen. W discussed the LTZ I wanted and reached a price I could t find elsewhere. Stopped at the dealership Tuesday and lunch and was done in less than 2 hours. Worked with Jason initially and then Haley. Both very professional. Best truck buying experience anywhere. More

A/C work gone bad...:( Have you heard of taking your car in for some work and then getting it back and something worse goes bad the Next Day.. Well that's what I got with Co Have you heard of taking your car in for some work and then getting it back and something worse goes bad the Next Day.. Well that's what I got with Covert Hutto! I took my car in for some A/C work and while they had it they found other issues with it. Finally after almost 2 weeks of them having it and me doing All the calls to them to see what was going on I got it back. The next day my engine light came on so again I started calling them to see when the could see what happened. After 2 days of calling and leaving messages Again, I talked to John, put my car back into the shop. The next morning they called and said that another part went out and they had nothing to do with it... It will be $1,000+ to fix it. We went and talked to them and they Deny, Deny that they had anything to do with it.... I am so frustrated! I have heard of this happening to people and now I'm proof? Good luck if you use them. We won't be back:/ A very dissatisfied customer!!! More

Commendable Sales I searched online from Dallas to Austin for the best deal on a new Fiesta. I got many mediocre offers from several different dealerships. When I tried I searched online from Dallas to Austin for the best deal on a new Fiesta. I got many mediocre offers from several different dealerships. When I tried to follow up with the salesman the true walk out price was always left somewhat nebulous. Salesmen would say "Just come in and take a test drive and we will make you a great deal!" or "If you come by we can discuss everything in my office." I didn't want to waste time driving around to different dealerships and then getting hit with a lot of hidden fees in the closing paperwork. Darla Burn called me and gave me the best price I had been offered yet. That was enough to earn my business but she took it one step further and did what none of the other sales people had managed to do. I had the total, walkout price for the car including tt&l and knew exactly what to expect before I ever walked in the finance office. I practically bought the car over the phone and it was the best car buying experience ever. More

When only the VERY Best will Do... Go see Kelly Lemmons We spent almost 3 hours at Don Hewlitt to purchase a Chevy Silverado Texas Edition truck for my husband. We were off $2000 grant it I would have paid We spent almost 3 hours at Don Hewlitt to purchase a Chevy Silverado Texas Edition truck for my husband. We were off $2000 grant it I would have paid it but felt no they didn't offer enough especially when the internet price was lower than what they offered as a base price. We decided we were going to walk and not look back... the truck just wasn't meant to be.. As we headed to the door .. THREE people in the service area said "Go to Covert in Hutto" .. we were asking why to choose them. And they all three continued to give us rave reviews about the customer service, the sales people, everything was top notch. So I asked "Why are you here then" they replied "Cause the service dept was booked solid for the next week" and they laughed. So we decided one day we were going to cruise the lot while NO ONE was there.. and we found the same identical truck. Out of all the trucks on the lot this was the ONLY one unlocked. SO I took the window sticker on the dash and turned it upside down and locked the door. I didn't want anyone in that truck that was for my hubby! Emailed and got Kelly... That was the best part of the entire story... felt like he was my long lost brother from another mother hahaha he was fun, helpful, talked about our kids, families, his fiance how awesome she is, etc.. and low and behold we left with my husbands truck almost 3k less than that other crappy dealer! I'd highly advise ANYONE looking for a used car or a new car or ANYTHING in the vehicle industry to go see Kelly and the gang at Covert. They have family values, they aren't there to stab the little guy they are all about their people leaving happy and returning for many years. We ALSO got MORE money for our trade in.. so yes it was definitely a WIN WIN for us!! And now, Hubby and I are facebook friends with Kelly and we get to share in their family events just as if we were a part of the family :) Thanks Kelly for always being so straight and honest but above all for being a great Dad to your kids and a wonderful man to your lovely lady :) We will be back to trade in my Benz next :) More

Engine Grime left all over the drivers side after maint. I have had my car serviced at Covert Hutto since I bought my F150 crew cab Lariat in 2004. My last two visits cost $2300 for bearing work on the rear I have had my car serviced at Covert Hutto since I bought my F150 crew cab Lariat in 2004. My last two visits cost $2300 for bearing work on the rear axle and spark plug change with injector cleaning. The interior was not cleaned both times where the mechanic touched the shifter, center console, leather steering wheel, interior door handle, seat, and floor mats. Actually when I thought about it, they have never cleaned up after maintenance work. I did go back inside after finding my truck, black from where the mechanic touched the full radius of the drivers seat. I complained to the cashier, since the service advisor was not inside. I also own a Mercedes 2009 GL320. The maintenance really does not seem to more expensive than Covert, but the car is never left dirty inside. This is not part of the culture at Covert Hutto, but it should be. My truck should be returned to me in at least the level of cleanliness as I gave to them. More
