Great turnaround On several visits this past year I was completely ignored on the lot despite crawling all over numerous vehicles and even waving at the showroom. Comp On several visits this past year I was completely ignored on the lot despite crawling all over numerous vehicles and even waving at the showroom. Complained to Dan Covert and he set me up with salesperson Haley Sokolowski. Haley did an excellent job of working with me to find the right vehicle and proved to be very helpful in getting the deal settled to everyone's satisfaction. I had to wait around awhile to handle the financing but as it was the last day of the year and Brad was very busy I quite understood the delay. He was also very easy to work with and didn't go crazy trying to push the extras. More

Interested in quality improvement and relationship building This is hands down one of the worst car buying experiences I have ever had. The car buying experience: First of all when we were in the proces This is hands down one of the worst car buying experiences I have ever had. The car buying experience: First of all when we were in the process of buying a car I was told that this company was interested in long term relationships and transparency. This is not true, when we bought a used car we were informed that the second set of keys was potentially at the other dealership and that they would get them to us once they got them. I stated that I wanted two sets of keys at closing since we were giving them three sets of keys for the trade in. Our salesman high tailed it out of there before we were even off the lot. So we waited to see when we would get the second set of keys, we were informed by an employee to check in "later". So we did a few days later and were informed that we would not get a second set of keys since there was only one set. So I called the manager (Lad) who stated that they would set me up with a set of keys in a few days. So we waited and a few days past so I called and there was no response so I drove in. That's when I got to talk to the Jason another manager at that time that informed me that since it was not in writing that I had screwed up (not true in Texas contracts can be oral or written) and that in a condescending tone he might help me out. He then went on for about 15minutes about how I was messing up their bottom line since they were going to have to create a key for me and that I was manipulative since I would not take no for an answer. If he would have talked to Lad he would have found out that the key was promised, he also covered for Lad saying he was on vacation and that is why I never got a call back. Of course they had to do it in the wrong brand of key to match the car but who cares. So, I chalked it up to a very bad experience. How about long term relationships? Service: So when you buy a car you should check into their service department, I mean $9 oil changes sign me up! Nope, you get what you pay for. The first time we went to get our oil changed it took them over 2 hours. I mean I am not a mechanic and I can change the oil in my car in under 45 minutes but I cannot do it for $9. So yet again they messed up and they gave us a $10 voucher for our next visit. A few months go by and we need an oil change so we sign up online a week before. We receive no notification and knew it was on labor day. Just before we get ready to go we called, no answer, finally we get a recording that states they were closed. So, we tried the online service again and follow up with a phone call the next day. They tell us there is no appointment in the time that we scheduled. But they can make us one, we would just have to wait until the mechanics get back from lunch. Oh and it may take a few hours. Don't use their online service to get an oil change. Conclusion: More like short term and deceptive. Don't buy your car here, go to another dealership. We have had nothing but bad experiences and a lot of wasted time. I would love to discuss this with anyone at cover and hopefully do a follow up section in this review, but at this point I will being going to another dealership who hopefully takes care of their customers. Their finance guy Brad is amazing, and was the only reason why we did not cancel the transaction in the first place! ______________________________________________________________________________ Following this review, Covert Hutto responded and was interested to hear my side of the story. I was put into contact with the owner Dan Covert. He listened to what I had say and is going to discuss this situation with his staff to see what happened on their end. I would like to add Dan to the list of reasons why I would go back to this location and would advise anyone who has a bad experience to reach out to the owner to discuss the situation. Since my review I have found out that the sales person who helped us no longer works there. I hope this helps out. More
They say you get what you paid for... I did not!! Terrible Customer Service from the Ford Service Department - 2/5/16 was the infamous date. While "hate" is a strong word it is the only description av Terrible Customer Service from the Ford Service Department - 2/5/16 was the infamous date. While "hate" is a strong word it is the only description available here for 1 star and I wouldn't even give them that. I am going to summarize my poor experience as best I can while still providing enough detail to get the point across. First of all let me say that to this point I considered Covert Hutto "My Dealership" and I demonstrated as much with the purchase of three brand new cars and one used one in the last four years. I'd say that qualifies me as a repeat customer and knowledgeable enough to distinguish between good and bad service. My sales experiences have always been great and I have been fortunate to be in good positions come trade in time. So in that respect I think they do a great job but the sale is only the first part of the purchase. Service is where your customer retention occurs and thus your Service department should be where the Covert's ensure they employ "the best of the best" and from day one I have always had to involve my salesman to "make things right". So this last poor experience in service was the proverbial "last straw". So I walk in and for the second time over the last six months I complained about an intermittent air pressure issue only on the right side of my less than 12k miles Mustang GT. I notify my long time sales rep about it and wouldn't you know that he is having the SAME EXACT PROBLEM??!! I get a call an hour later from service that my car is ready. I walk in and was hurried along to the conclusion that I have a punctured right front that is not covered under warranty and that I need to pay $350+ for a new tire. I ask "what about the right rear?" and the reply was "we didn't find anything wrong with it." without any delay I have my keys in hand and I walk away disgusted because I was not shown the problem, I was not given any explanation other than that the judgement call was correct and therefore not covered under warranty. So I call my sales guy and I am very upset. Because of logistics issues I couldn't pick up my car until today, Monday, 2/8. I had to scrounge up an air tank, air up the right front myself because no one offered to change me over to my spare or any other solution whatsoever. I am fine with it being my issue but to be ushered out the door with essentially a flat tire is an inexcusable oversight. I am fortunate to have multiple vehicles so I was not overly inconvenienced but I still haven't heard from anyone at Covert to offer a better explanation nor a solution since had I even decided to buy the new tire on the spot, it is on back order for several weeks minimum. So again, I aired up my own tire just to limp the car home and was offered ZERO as an alternative solution. To add insult to injury both tires go low on my 9 mile journey home. So while the sales experience is good why on earth would you spend a combined $75k for two vehicles within six months only to be treated like a number and left with a xxxx flat tire for three days right in front of the doors to the service department? Don't buy so much as a floor mat at Covert Hutto because god forbid you need it serviced or to inquire on the warranty! Anybody want to buy a slightly used 2015 Mustang GT with a flat right front tire and a right rear that loses air anytime it feels like it? Other than that it is a great car!!! LOL More

I called las We bought a used Lexus from this dealer on December 9, 2015. And as of today February 5, 2016, we have not received the license plates. I called last week and the clerk said that they made a mistake because of a new state law and paper work had to go back to the state. No body called to say there was a problem or explain what is going on. I am currently driving with expired temporary tags and wanted to leave town this weekend but decided not to risk it because of expired tags. Very disappointing More
