I scheduled an service appointment to change the oil and rotate the tires. After over two hours I was told that it would be another ten minutes. Dropped our diesel truck off for a check for the engine light being on, oil change and inspection on 12/17/2024. They kept our vehicle for a total of 18 days before we got the truck back with NO repairs c light being on, oil change and inspection on 12/17/2024. They kept our vehicle for a total of 18 days before we got the truck back with NO repairs completed. The service department advisor, Chris, text us to contact him on 1/2/2025. We called back and left a message on his phone but he did not ever respond back. So on 1/3/2025 I began texting Chris back since he failed to contact us. They NEVER touched the truck until 1/3/2025 to do a diagnostic check. They said our truck was going to need $4500 worth of work to repair the Def pump and a few other items. Covert Chevrolet in Hutto said it would take 7 business days to get to our truck repairs, but they kept the truck for 18 days, and did nothing to our truck for over 2.5 weeks. Chris, the service advisor, blamed it on the holiday. So we finally went to get our truck back on 1/4/2025 and they charged us over $300 to get it back, with no repairs done to our vehicle. Covert didn't even offer to try and make it right! I highly discourage anyone from using Covert for repairs. They should have been more considerate of us being without our truck for so long, but we were offered nothing to try to make up for their incompetence and lack of efficiency!!!! Do not recommend Covert in Hutto at all!!! They will do you wrong and not give any mind to how they have inconvenienced you!!! And they will charge you an arm and a leg to do absolutely nothing to your vehicle!!! More

Terrible Experience and Deceptive Practices I recently brought my car into this service center for a simple check engine light diagnostic, and the experience has been nothing short of a nightmare recently brought my car into this service center for a simple check engine light diagnostic, and the experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. They lied every step of the way, from start to finish: 1. Deceptive Scheduling: They misrepresented the timeline just to get me in the door. 2. Misleading Updates: They repeatedly lied about needing to keep the car longer, supposedly waiting on a part that would “only take a day.” That “day” turned into a string of false promises. 3. False Representation: They claimed that a service technician was actually the service manager, a blatant misrepresentation of who was handling my car. 4. Dishonest Diagnosis: They assured me that the check engine light had been resolved and that my car was fixed. This was completely false. 5. Each time I received a call they continued to try and replace parts that didn’t need to be replaced, for a hefty fee…errors were occurring because they didn’t properly reattached parts and hoses after diagnostic. When my car was finally returned, it was in worse condition than when I left it. Here’s what I found upon inspection: • Coolant Hose: Loose and clearly not tightened properly. • O2 Sensor: Removed from its housing, left dangling with wires exposed—totally unprofessional. • Turbo Bypass Solenoid: Connector not attached, leaving a critical part of my engine improperly connected. This level of dishonesty and carelessness is unacceptable. I trusted this service center with my vehicle, and they not only failed to fix the problem but actually made it worse. I would strongly advise anyone considering this place to look elsewhere if you value honesty, competence, and professionalism. More
