After a history of purchasing approximately 12 or more automobiles/trucks from Covert Chevy in Bastrop, on approximately the first of October of 2021, I made a deal with Robby Turner, a Covert Salesman, t automobiles/trucks from Covert Chevy in Bastrop, on approximately the first of October of 2021, I made a deal with Robby Turner, a Covert Salesman, to purchase a pickup that was "in transit". I offered to send the money for the new/trade-in difference, but was told that I had been a friend/good customer for a long time, and that was not necessary. In April of 2022, the Covert website showed a very similar truck in stock for the same price, so I emailed and called Robby Turner to ask if that one would be available for the same price as the deal we made in October. I never got a reply to either. I periodically checked their website to see if the truck they had sold me had arrived. On the 9th of June, 2022, I noticed that it had arrived at the dealership, so called Robby Turner and asked him when I could pick it up. He started telling me how he didn't want me to take that truck, that it had sat on the lot too long, and those had to have new motors and were getting 8 MPG, had many problems, and he wanted to check the GM computer, and on and on and on. I never heard back from him, so I called a few days later, and he stated the GM computer was down, but he had a similar one in stock that he would let me have, but it was $4,000 more than the deal we had made. The repeated evasive strange stories I was getting made me suspicious, so I contacted the Covert Sales Department and was informed that the truck I had made the deal on the first of October of '21 was sold a day or so after it arrived at the dealership the first part of June of '22, and they told me the price it was sold for. It then became obvious that they made more money on that sale than the deal I had made in October of '21, so they sold it out from under me after I had waited 9 or 10 months for it to arrive. I then called Robby Turner again and listened to several more lies about why I shouldn't accept delivery of that truck before I informed him that I knew it had been sold out from under me. He feigned shock and did his best to act surprised. Having dealt with the owner of the dealership directly many times before, I texted him that I would like to talk to him, to which he replied he would return from out of town on Monday. I never heard from him. I will ride a stick horse before I purchase anything from Robby Turner or Covert Chevrolet again. And so should you. E. L. M. More
Richie Williams was excellent. I called and spoke with him and he did not hesitate to take care of the problem. WE HAD PROBLEMS. SALESMAN DID POOR EXPLANATION ON CAR. WE HAD TO WAIT OVER 45 MIN. TO CLOSE. THE CAR WAS ADVERTIZED AS CERTIFIED PRE OWNED BUT THEY WOULD NOT GIVE ME SALESMAN DID POOR EXPLANATION ON CAR. WE HAD TO WAIT OVER 45 MIN. TO CLOSE. THE CAR WAS ADVERTIZED AS CERTIFIED PRE OWNED BUT THEY WOULD NOT GIVE ME CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED WARRANTY AS ADVERTIZED. THEY LATER AGREED TO CERTIFY CAR, I AM WAITING. THEY DID NOT HAVE SECOND KEY. THEY NOW AGREED TO SEND ME ANOTHER KEY. STILL WAITING More
I had the mis fortune of walking in and being greeted by Buster. I explained to Buster what I wanted and he started his high pressure sales game. He first started by belittling my trade and explaining that nobody would give me what I was asking, despite the fact I had 3 written offers and ultimately got more than those offers at Covert GMC in Austin. When I explained to him I had a letter from my bank allowing me X amount he stated that the terms and total dollar allowance could be beat. All I had to do was run our credit with GM. I explained we have worked hard, very hard, to get our credit where it was and did not want our credit hit by i quiries. He PROMISED - REPEATEDLY that it would only be hit by GM financing. I agreed to allow it 1 TIME. Ends up he hit our credit 12 different times. We ended up financing at Covert GMC in Austin with GM so all of the otjer inquiries were unneccesary and damaged my credit for the next 2 years. After I was unable to stomach his bully sales tactics I left and went to Covert GMC Austin the following day. He called repeatedly the next day. I mean ALOT. He was sending pictures ov vehicles we could not afford with promises of gauranteed financing, he said he was approved by the general manager to offer me $41k for my trade vs the $38k he ridiculed the day before. When I respinded to that text he rescinded the offer and then went back to his sales tactics. When he found out I was buying from Covert GMC in Austin he started sending me pictures of vehicles that were well out of my price range and saying he had my financing taken care of. My sales person at the time was blown away by what he was doing. I finally had to block him because it was a call or text every 3-5 minutes for hours. STEER CLEAR. This man wasted my time, peace of mind and damaged my credit through his lies and high pressure sales. Nat Tucker More

At Covert, appointments aren't appointments I called to do warranty service on my 2017 Silverado. Two weeks later the date arrived and they picked up my truck in west Austin. I called the next morning to xx status and they said they didn't think they had my truck. One hour later they discovered they did have it, but hadn't looked at it. When a service mgr called me back he said that they were a week behind and an appointment is basically to get in queue at the dealership for a week and be without your car. Frustrating news for someone who needs his truck for work. I asked for a loaner, if it would be gone a week and they said only if I bought it there. I asked them to bring my truck back at once, I got it back 3 days later. What a terrible place. I've bought 3 new cars there and will never return. More
